New battery into old drill!
I was in two minds whether to purchase this item, due to some unfavourable reviews! But because the adapter was pretty cheap, I thought "in for a penny, in for a pound" as the saying goes! I must say, the adapter does not appear to be made of the best material, but it seems that I was wrong, as the adapter clicks nicely into the battery ( Dewalt 2.AH 18v )The adapter then fits nicely onto the Dewalt DC988. I specify the drill, as I don't know if the adapter would fit nicely onto other drills! The drill worked perfectly, with no problems at all! I am quite amazed to be honest, as I was in two minds, due to the poor reviews & performance issues that some people appeared to have! The adapter fits nicely onto the battery, & the drill isn't overly cumbersome! I now have an old drill that works with a new type battery, what's not to like!

Allows you to use modern batteries in an older style tool
Quite a tight fit at first but once I got the hang of it it was easy. Leave it in place on the tool and you can use modern battery and charger. Saves an older tool from the scrap heap. A brilliant idea.

It works
It fitted my old drill fine. Old batteries were not charging anymore, fitted the adapter, fitted new type battery and heypresto I had a fully functioning drill.

I am now able to use all my old tools with the new type batteries.

Works eventually.
Quite a tight fit from new. Had to use a screwdriver to pry out of tool. Loosened up a bit now though. Using it with a dewalt angled nail gun with milwauke battery. Annoying thing is battery doesn't always "sit right". My gun has a light sensor that tells me when there's power but not enough. Keeps happening even on new battery. So, remove battery with adapter as cannot remove just battery when in gun. Put it all back together and bang, all good. Once you get it working its great. I have never used that nail gun all day on one battery before.

Pukka deluxe !
Fits and works. Has given new life to some older Dewalt tools which have dead batteries, fits perfect with the Milwaukee Fuel 18 volters. 👍🏼

Could be better
It works but can get to hot and melt the usb can totally flatten a battery. Having said that I will be buying more
