Heavy duty compared to the other version sold by ELBA
These are good solid hinges. I have ordered / used similar shutter hinges by ELBA in the black color. Those are lighter weight / light duty hinges compared to these galvanized ones. I recently had the weld on one of the hinge posts break on the cheaper / lighter version. The shutter was a fairly heavy one but the weld on the post hinge wasn't done right. I bought the galvanized hinges as a replacement. The metal is thicker on these and the weld job on the post hinge is much better quality. I wish this version came in black (powder coat would be nice or enamel finish). I spray painted mine with black rustoleum so they would match the black finish on rest. Had no issues with the paint over galvanized metal. Maybe not the best way to go but it worked.
