We used this to contain wedding vows. It was difficult to read from since the paper is not attached to the rods in a way that it could be kept tightly rolled. It did produce the desired effect.

I like the size of it. My son wants to make a sign to carry at a football game. He wanted one that he could have his hands free to also carry food and drink. It is perfect size for him to do what he wanted. I would say the only thing is bad for us is the paper, it is brown with a decorative border for older documents. But I managed to fix it by putting stickers on it. I would buy it again and look for white if they make it that way.
