As simple as it can be!
I've had this item in my wish list for probably more than 6 months before I finally took the plunge and bought it. The reason for the hesitancy in purchasing it is first, I couldn't decide if I wanted an electric model instead of a manual (and it would cost more than twice) and second, I was thinking I wanted a model with the "bleed" capability (which again would cost more than twice).I really didn't understand what that term "bleed" meant but it seems like a lot of the other reviewers were looking for that capability so I imagined it was an option that was highly desirable. One day I decided to research what that meant and when I understood, I figured out that most of the common business card printing software didn't offer that option anyway (at least the three or four that I've used) and heck, when I printed full color (up to the individual card edges) business cards, my software (I've used MS Word, MS Publisher, Avery) and my printer aligned the cards properly anyway so when I cut, the cut line was always right where the colors of one card met the colors of the next card. That right away made me realize I didn't need the expensive bleed option. Remember, I'm not a pro.The only other thing that held me back by then was the choice of manual or electric. I was worried that it might take a lot of effort to cut one card with the manual version (not for one sheet, but if I would be cutting 100 sheets, well...). Then, something amazing happened. I was in Office Max and I saw that the card cutter they used in their Print Center was THIS EXACT MODEL! I asked to try it and the lady was nice enough to let me get my hands on it. Lo and behold, not only was it smooth and really effortless to use, I also noticed that it was just lying on top of the desk and there was no need to get cluttered by a power cord and fuss about plugging it on and off. Plus, it dawned on me that I would never be cutting 100 sheets in my home office anyway. That would be a thousand cards and that would take me months to consume. With the manual one, I can just print 5 sheets (for 50 cards) every few weeks or so!So, that was the story and I ordered it from Amazon right away once I got home from Office Max. If it was good enough for their Print Center, it definitely would be more than good enough for a small office, and I wasn't wrong! These are the reflections of a non-graphic pro, those doing this for a living might have a different thought!

Adjust with every business card.
Love this product. I found that if you put the paper in one way and adjust for that cut - always put the paper in the same way. (Top side to left) if you put in top side to right - you will have to readjust for the cut as it will be off. Make sure you play with it and always run a sample first. Love this machine! easy to use. Don't know why I didn't buy one sooner.

It works.
My expectation is to make a small batch of bz cards. It has two cutters (2" and 3-1/2") and needs to be run two times to get 10 cards per page. It's not a thousand dollar machine, it is a simple fixed-size cutter for bz cards, and it works fine as long as the print fits into it. So, making a small batch of several different cards using this is very cost-effective. 5 stars.

Works for very light jobs
We purchased this machine to quickly cut one or two sheets of mailing tray labels. It works as described, and great for its price point. I don't know how long the cutting wheels will stay sharp, but for the sheets I tested, it cut neatly and didn't jam or skew. On mine, the right paper guide for the first cut was a little out of whack so it takes some effort to get the first cut in line, but this is a defect and not as intended. I can live with it. The case is very light plastic and feels a little flimsy, but for someone home printing cards it's fine. It folds up into a very compact shape for storage and doesn't require much force to turn the crank. Note: This is intended for home use. It is not a professional machine made to stand up to a lot of wear and tear.

Great Experience
This was my first experience with a business card cutter. I did a lot of research and decided that the CardMate Manual Cutter was what I needed. It took quite a bit of trial and error to finally figure things out. The only down side is that I wish I had gotten the full bleed model.

Good product
I ready many reviews and decide on this one. I love it because it works great. The electric ones are too expensive for a good one and I only do a hundred cards once a month. This is for 10 cards on a page. You cut some test sheets and move the margins until the cut strips are the same size on both sides, then you know its cutting evenly. It has a solid feel and cuts clean. You feed the sheet in one way to cut, then the other way to finish the cutting into separate cards. Once you get it setup properly it all goes fast. Its a good product.
