A high quality, very bright flashlight that doubles as an emergency power bank!
The media could not be loaded. This review evaluates the “F60 6,000 Lumen Waterproof Rechargeable LED Zoomable Tactical Flashlight” made by APLOS.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging and all components were contained snugly in the box. What’s in the box: one (1) 6,000 lumen waterproof rechargeable led zoomable tactical flashlight, USB-C to USB-A charging cord, one (1) removable wrist lanyard, one (1) 5,000mAh Lithium-ion rechargeable battery, one (1) 3AAA battery adapter sleeve, and an owner’s manual.I have tested a number of flashlights from APLOS and found them all to be of excellent quality and functionality; the F60 also doesn’t disappoint!First impressions: Solid and compact. The housing is made from machined AL-6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with a sure grip surface and is finished in matte black. The front lens has one high-powered 6,500K LED module. This flashlight uses a rubberized waterproof push button function switch located on the side housing that navigates through five (5) lighting modes (H/M/L, SOS, strobe). The push button is multi-colour illuminated to signify ON/OFF and charging status. It comes with a convenient removable hand lanyard. The flashlight uses a 3.7V 5,000mAh 26650 rechargeable lithium-ion battery that is USB-C rechargeable by removing a waterproof USB-C port cover on the side of the housing. The battery has up to 12 hours of runtime and takes 3 hours to fully charge. The flashlight can also serve as a 5,000mAh battery bank for emergency charging of your cellphone, GPS, etc courtesy of a USB-A output port that is beside the USB-C input port for charging the flashlight.I first tested the flashlight outside and let me tell you – very bright doesn’t begin to describe the 6,000-lumen (claimed) output of light… It’s like staring at the sun (never stare at a high-output light like this you will permanently damage your eyesight!). For comparison, most cars with LED high beams put out 1,200 – 4,000 lumens. This flashlight packs a mighty punch for its size producing a wide cone of light that illuminated the road and surrounding area like it was broad daylight. However many flashlights are overstating their lumen output to capture sales – this light is very bright and is closer to a 3,400-3,700 lumen flashlight as measured by my LUX meter. The unit is rated IPX6 which means that an IPX6 device will stay fully functional when sprayed with strong water jets (15psi) at any angle from a distance of 3m for a 1-minute duration; therefore, it is NOT “WATERPROOF” as stated in the Amazon ad. I did not try this claim but the unit looks like it will survive normal use outdoors. I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program so I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. Only time will tell if this flashlight has similar longevity and effective service life as other competitive products on the market. Therefore, I am going to monitor this product over the next 8-12 months of use and revise my review should problems arise.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am satisfied with the product. At a current price of $49.99 (plus a $7 off coupon), I feel this flashlight is very competitively priced when compared to other similar products in this class. In summary: the “F60 6,000 Lumen Waterproof Rechargeable LED Zoomable Tactical Flashlight” made by APLOS is made of high-quality materials, is compact, and is very bright. Although the lumens are exaggerated by 2x, at 3,771-lumen (measured), whatever you need to light up in front of you or at the end of the road – this flashlight has got you covered! I would recommend this product without reservation.Pros 👍:✔ Nice matte black finish.✔ Well-made using quality materials.✔ Anodized AL-6061-T6 Aircraft-grade Aluminum Alloy body.✔ Three (3) adjustable levels of brightness (High, Medium, Low).✔ Two (2) signal light functions (S.O.S., strobe).✔ Good lighting angle and distance reach.✔ IP6X environment water resistant.✔ Extremely bright – 6,000 lumens (claimed), 3,771 lumens (actually measured).✔ USB-C rechargeable (also removable) 5,000mAh lithium-ion battery.✔ Can be used as an emergency power bank via the onboard USB-A output jack.✔ Multi-colour illuminated switch indicating available battery life and charging status.✔ Convenient removable hand lanyard.✔ Competitively priced in its class and good value.Cons👎:✘ Lumen output is very bright however 2x overstated. Real output is around 3,400-3,700 Lumen.

Fairly bright, real ~= 2000 lm, circular light cone, warm (not hot), Li-ion 26650/5000 mAh included
The media could not be loaded. This, like many other similarly spec'ed so-called high power flashlights out there is fairly bright with decent (and typical) build quality and like the vast majority of them its brightness is greatly exaggerated and overinflated (3-7x more) that's completely and arbitrarily made up to attract sales. This one is perhaps about 2000 lm based on a rough estimate and comparison with an existing and known brightness source.≡ Physical buildPhysically it's fairly well built and seems adequately sturdy that can take a beating (didn't test). It has the typical O-ring at the front and back of the body as most others have. Like most others it also utilizes a push-button at the side and a single press of the button cycles through all 5 modes (no push-and-hold here) which I actually prefer and it's easy to work with given the circumstance.Similar to most other flashlights it can be charged directly without having to remove the battery and charge it in a dedicated charger which I do appreciate. It draws about 0.8A (relatively high) when it's charging itself and that's pretty close to the max supported current (0.9A) of USB 3.0 ports (0.5A for USB 2.0) so you probably wouldn't wanna plug this into any USB-A ports from your computer unless you choose to live dangerously. All modern USB chargers should have no issues with 5V/1A (always check first) although 5000 mAh would take a while to be fully charged at 1A (~ 220 min). It's unfortunate that it doesn't support PD which would drastically speed up the charging process.≡ NoteKeep in mind that LEDs can NOT be dimmed in a conventional way (unlike incandescent light bulbs where current/voltage is lowered) and it's actually dimmed by turning it on and off in rapid succession so the end results to our eyes is that it's dimmed and the LONGER the OFF state lasts, the dimmer it appears to be.≡ BrightnessNow, the meat; its true brightness. A quick comparison (with a lux meter) to an existing 250 lm flashlight shows that this is perhaps around 2000 lm (1957 to be exact). It is fairly bright and a 26500 Li-ion battery is included which is a bonus; though, the bonus itself means little to me if the primary product which is the flashlight itself doesn't live up to the claimed brightness.Of course, it's by no means a precise and accurate measurement; however, it does give me some fairly reasonable figures as to what the true brightness of this flashlight might actually be and that's good enough for me.≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a decent flashlight that seems well-constructed and it's reasonably bright given the circumstance (i.e. overinflated claims). Though, I do appreciate the included 26500 battery as well its ability to function as a power bank of sorts (via USB-A) port. It's somewhat reasonably priced at $43 for what it provides and its overall build quality, usability, and performance. However, you can probably knock 30% off (something comparable in brightness) if you care to shop around. Your mileage might vary.

Powerful
This is a really well built unit but I only gave it 4 stars because I don't believe it is 6000 lumens. I have several other lights from NightCore, Fenix etc and the claim 800 lumens which is where I would place this one.It was really easy to charge up which is a bonus so you don't need to keep a supply of batteries and the mode switching is intuitive. The ability to change from a broad beam to a narrow spot light is the reason I wanted this light. The adjustable beam is like a maglight but instead of twisting the head like a Maglight you just slide the head forwards or backwards. It also come with a battery holder so if in a pinch the rechargeable goes dead you just need to install batteries in the round cylindrical holder and put it in the flashlight to regain power. I haven't tried it yet as the rechargeable feature is what I was going for. This is a well built solid aluminum flashlight with well sealed components and covers for the charging port. The lens has a scalloped head which will allow the flashlight to be stood on the lens cover with the light on and not worry about overheating.I'm very happy with this light and find I use it on a daily basis and haven't needed to recharge it yet . We'll wotprth the cost when you compare it to other rechargeable lights on the market.

Very powerful, but heavy
This is a very powerful flashlight. I am literally worried that I might hold it to someone's face by accident and cause damage to the eyes.It is case is of metal and looks very sturdy. It has a button on one side and two USB ports (one USB-C and one USB-A) on the other side. The ports are covered by a lid to make it waterproof. The only unfortunate thing is that it is quite heavy compared to its size. It has glow-at-dark (phosphorus) lines around both tips, but they don't seem to glow too much (or too easily). It has a 5000mAh 26650 Li Ion rechargeable battery already inside, but there was a piece of carton on the outer side to be removed before using, keeping the battery unused. By the way, a standard removable battery means a longer lifetime, as you know that the end of your flashlight's lifetime will not be because of a dead battery. It comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable that you can plug to the ports so that you don't need to remove the battery to recharge. I haven't tried it, but it seems that you can charge other stuff using the flashlight's ports. I don't think you will need that often, as you can carry around actual power banks, but still it is a good option and a 5000mAh battery is quite powerful. But of course, you will have to have a cable with you. There was also an extra piece that came out of the box that was shown neither on the product page, nor in the user manual. It looks like a plastic battery compartment that can hold 3 AAA batteries and take the place of the rechargeable battery. Speaking of the user manual, it contains English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese. They have overtasked the single button on it with 5 modes of operation: 3 modes as different brightness levels, 1 mode of strobe light, and 1 mode of SOS signal in Morse code. The strobe and SOS modes are quite annoying, but you can skip them and just press the button long to quickly turn the flashlight off; otherwise, every short press moves you to the next mode until you finally reach the off mode. The lens piece can be moved outwards to concentrate the light at smaller area using a narrow angle, or moved back for a wider angle. The brightest mode is still very very bright even with the widest angle. Most of the time, the dimmest mode with the widest angle can be more than enough to let you see around. The brightest mode with the narrowest angle (beam light) is probably for playing lightsaber at night.Overall, I strongly recommend this flashlight, but make sure it matches your use case. It provides a very powerful light and comes with a good battery. But it is also heavy and too powerful in some cases. If you want a general purpose flashlight you can carry all the time, this one might be too heavy for that. Or if you want a flashlight to hold to people's faces, this one might be too powerful and might cause vision problems on others. If you want a flashlight to turn a dark night into daytime, one to illuminate smaller areas in far distances, or send out light signals across distances, this one will make you very happy.

Bright and Versatile Flashlight
It's impressively bright. While not as blinding as some intense tactical flashlights, it certainly illuminates well. It comes with a rechargeable battery, and also offers a holder for AA batteries, which is a handy feature. However, charging the included 5000mAh battery does take some time. This flashlight is a tad heavy for its size, but its coverage is large when used as a spotlight. Moreover, when zoomed in, it has an impressive reach. As others have pointed out, it doubles as a USB power bank. This feature makes it especially valuable for emergency home use or camping.
