I received my electric skillet today and was excited. My stove stopped working and I needed something to help me get by until the stove in my apartment is repaired.--The first thing I found when I tried to put the lid together was that the plastic part shattered. I have weak hands and normally have no issues with things breaking. I reached out to customer service so I hope they replace that part, but even if they don't I can order a new lid. the one I have works, but the handle is very wobbly because it is missing the plastic insert now. I saw that someone else had a similar experience with the lid. I was going to blame it on the cold weather, but that person had it break in July so it might just be the plastic piece is not strongly made so be careful when you screw the handle onto the lid.--When I tried to plug in the cord, the heating element prongs were off-kilter so I had to work with it a bit before it finally slipped into place. I was starting to have doubts but it cooked the food well enough. I will test other things in it but it cooks evenly and will be a great help.

It’s not a continuous heat, it shuts off periodically. The pan looks deeper than it really is.I bought this skillet to sub in until I can get a new stovetop and works okay, but definitely not what I thought I was buying.

I bought this for my grandson. His words were “ it’s awesome “ so I guess I need to get me this awesome skillet too 🙂

I was so excited when I got this, it's pretty and I hadnt had one in awhile. I used it once and was disappointed. The way it heats it one extreme to the other making it hard to cook it was barely warm then when the element kicked on it would scorch the food quickly. It's also shallow so when you cook something with alot of liquid it sloshes over the sides and the amount of food you can cook is minimal, I'm only cooking for 2 but had to switch to a standard pot to finish cooking the meal I was cooking. It was not expensive so I am keeping it and I'm sure I can find some uses for it.
