This is a great learning experience for little children . There are so many cards , you might not need them all to start with but as the child progresses you can add the more advanced ones . I think it’s fun while learning. Not needing batteries is good also . I would definitely recommend .

The media could not be loaded.  Product box although colourful was falling apart as we received it and is very flimsy. The product is very simple and easy to use. It has on/off switch which seems back to front (slide left for on and right for off) a volume button and a repeat card button.It comes with a box full of cards with several different categories and all cards are double sided.Operating is very easy, my 2.5 year old does it, its a case of inserting your card into the reader and it says what it is and a sound also.Would be good if the cards were more child proof as I can see some of these being bent/torn in a short time by my toddlers.Overall a fun, interactive learning play tool.

The media could not be loaded.  I love this little toy. It came boxed with a charging lead. The cards are easy to put in and remove for little hands, and there are no sharp edges.. There is no accent and the words are pronounced clearly. We had lots of fun with this, and my young nephew was happy to sit on his own inserting cards and repeating the words. When we played it together it became a good educational toy. I have no hesitation in recommending this, I doubt you will be disappointed.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a good size for little hands and the word cards are really easy to slot in, making it perfect for children beginning to learn words.The accent isn't too bad and there is a really good variety of words colour coded into different categories (the cards are double sided). Some of the fruits and other words are a little unusual but generally the quality is decent.

The media could not be loaded.  My grandson is nearly two and his language skills are coming along and he absolutely loves copying what everyone says. He’s certainly becoming familiar with what word’s actually mean and I thought he’d love this little toy. So when it arrived it came in a nice box which contained the unit, a box of cards, the charging cable and a little drawstring storage bag. The instructions are basic but tell you everything you need to know. First thing I did was charge up the unit. It took about an hour. There’s a red light on when it’s charging which goes off when it’s finished. You switch the unit on with a small slide button on the bottom edge. The other buttons allow you to change the volume or get the unit to repeat the words appropriate to the picture. The cards are double sided and a decent thickness. We played with my grandson as it was a bit tricky for him to insert the cards on his own without bending them. . He could remove them easily. The card’s cover a great range of subjects from animals to people to colours to vehicles etc. My grandson liked the animals best as he knows all the sounds they make. Have a look at my video to see how it works. The voice is nice and clear and the pronunciation is good for the uk market. A few of the cards are Americanised but not many would cause major confusion so you could just remove them if you think it’s appropriate and better for your child. The unit didn’t need recharging across the whole weekend and my grandson learnt lots of new words. It really was a great hit with him. At £13.99 at the time of writing this review I can honestly say it’s worth every penny. I would say it’s perfect from the age of 2 upwards and of course as your child gets older you could introduce the spelling as well as the pronunciation. A really lovely educational toy and I definitely recommend it.

This product is quite a cute toy but could be better. It comes in a cardboard box which was quite damaged when it arrived and also doesn't hold together properly once you open it. For this reason, I wouldn't buy this as a gift for someone else as it looks like it's pre-loved, which I know it isn't but the appearance of if it isn't great.The toy itself is very easy to use, my little one could use it by herself without me even having to show her. It has an on/off switch and a volume and a repeat button. You select your card, put it in and the machine automatically reads the word on the card. The voice is a female and speaks English with a slightly unusual accent.There are lots of cards to choose from and so you can just use a few if you wish. Some are unusual and Americanised EG sneakers, but this isn't a problem as you can always just use words familiar to your child.The device itself is kind of upside down when you use it - it looks a bit like a cat but when in use the ears are at the bottom which seems a bit of a design flaw, but it didn't affect the usability of it.There is a little bag which comes with it so you can keep the cards, wire and device in it - which is kind of essential seeing as the original box falls apart.It charges quickly using a USB wire, which is more practical than using batteries.Overall it's a sweet toy, easy for a child to use independently and a nice way to introduce a variety of words to children. Personally, a few tweaks such as the device being the right way up, the voice being clearer, and the box being more presentable would make this better.

The resources is great for children who speak additional languages or have limited ability to communicate and was a fun way to help them learn new words and sounds. The flash cards use a good accent which is relevant to the school I work in and there are a very large amount of options to choose from with the cards, which are double sided. My children are aged 4-5 and were able to use the flash cards independently and enjoyed using the 'repeat' button to listen to the words and sounds again. The machine turns itself off when not touched for a while to save battery and comes with a good, little charging cable.
