The pillow has a very soft, removable cover and has the advantage of opening up for use when on your back.Unfortunately, for me the pillow was too thick for using when side sleeping...which was my purpose for purchasing.

I used this after knee replacement and loved it. I’ve also incorporated it into my physical therapy regime as a prop to help with excercises.

My pain stop

I absolutely love this multipurpose pain pillow. I have a bad knee and I just got is and can't be without it. Very comfortable.

For me personally, it's not "hard" enough to use between the legs. It compresses and then doesn't keep the knees spaced out as much as I'd like. That could just be personal preference though. I do enjoy it under my legs/knees when I am lying on my back.
