Pretty good, but could be better
I love the ladder! It's easy to use, but so far, everyone says there should be a step or two more to make it easier to get out of the lake on my stationary dock - the water level is about full pool and the top of the dock is about 16" above the water level. The plastic is good quality - there are many kids who have gone up and down and adults weighing 300 pounds without any give in the material. It didn't come with any hardware to install - so after a trip to the hardware store for lag bolts, we were all set. I'm sure black plastic would burn your feet, but it would've matched my color scheme better...maybe an idea for the future?

Works great on our dock
We use this to get in and out of a pontoon boat and it works great. Very sturdy.

Sturdy and easy to use
I like how this ladder sits at an angle so you basically walk up the stairs rather than having to pull yourself up. Definitely good for those over 40. It’s sturdy and feels like it can hold your weight. The only bad thing is it is almost impossible to get out of the water. Have to tie a rope on the bottom step and use something for leverage. My son is under 30 and athletic so he wouldn’t have a problem with it though.

Pleased with Product. Advice below. No barnacles!
Easy install with 8 stainless steel lag bolts (3/8"x3.5") and flat washers. Yes, difficult to raise the ladder after use. Recommend tying a small rope around the top step which you can snare with a boat hook. No barnacles at least! Polyethylene - non-toxic. (Polyethylene is typically used for plastic bags, food/drink containers, and medical applications like knee joints.) 500 pound capacity, very good.

It works, but could be improved
The ladder is sturdy even for my 235 lbs. I like that it is hinged to let down to the water. My wife has trouble raising it back.It is plastic which I like.

Don't be put off by the plastic
Product was well reviewed, and looked sturdy and funtional, but I was concerned about a "plastic ladder." It took me a while to buy it but I wasn't finding anything that wasn't what we had that we didn't like. Was I surprised. We have many seniors using the ladder. The way the ladeder comes out from the dock, the number of hand holds, and the comfortable (on the foot) ladder rungs are a big hit. It is sturdy and I have no concern of the "plastic" not holding up.

Great
Love this. We connected it to our boat dock so we could get in and out of the lake easily. We have used it most days during this very hot summer.
