I have a Sage Barista Express espresso machine and have been making lattes through lockdown, 2 each day, so easily over 1,000 now. I started to actually want to try espresso on its own and couldn't really nail it. I would go for a finer grind and choke the machine, but when it was on the edge and pouring slowly over 30 seconds it still tasted thin, not much crema, and also sour, which means under extraction. Making a latte with these was fine as it was still strong coffee.So, I did a lot of research on espresso grinders and this seemed near the top of the tree in hand grinder territory, and especially one that can do it all. It is very expensive, but I really wanted the flexibility for making espresso, aeropress, v60 and French press drinks. I can definitely say that the espresso grind from this, going through my espresso machine is night and day. The coffee grinds must be much more consistent as the coffee oozes chocolatey viscous liquid into the cup in a way it never did before. The taste is finally thick and full of flavour and not sour. So, it does exactly what I had hoped. The grinding is also fairly easy, it's not effortless but it took way less time than I feared, around 30 seconds which is kinda fun to do while the milk is frothing. And as a bonus I can take my aeropress to work now and grind beans fresh, no more ground coffee that goes stale. Quality coffee guaranteed as long as you have beans and hot water.So, yes, it's expensive, but I probably couldn't be without it now, and I know I'll get years of use out of it. Changing grind size is beyond simple, the magnetic cup holder is very nifty and the quality is as good as you would hope. It's portable enough (the case is pretty big but still very easy to put in a rucksack) and the only real flaw is the price, but it is genuinely top quality. Buy nice or buy twice.

This was an upgrade on a £40 hand grinder so quite a jump there and may be slightly unfair to compare the two but the difference is night and day. The clarity and range of extra depth i have been able to achieve from my coffee now has been nothing short of mind blowing. I am looking to buy an espresso machine in the near future so this grinders capability to handle pour overs and espresso well was a huge draw for me. To be honest though, I have been enjoying pour overs so much with this grinder that I am not in as much of a rush to get the espresso machine.The build quality feels premium and strong and the magnet catch cup has been great to use. No issues at all with it dropping off or looking like its going to at any point. I even love the little thought of the rubber base to the catch cup so you don't mark any surface when you give the grinder a tap at the end of grinding.When i got it i did notice the burrs went past 0 so i took it apart which was really easy to do and sorted that (full help videos on youtube). It was really easy to take apart and put back together so cleaning isn't ever going to be an issue. The included brush and bellows are nice too.Now, I am only really still near the beginning of my coffee journey so I don't have any experience of comparable grinders to draw on, however, I would confidently 100% recommend this grinder to anyone in a similar position to myself.

Excellent carrying case, blower, brush and silicone band included. Aesthetically pleasing. Mine was not zeroed out of the box so it took me all of 5 minutes to figure out how to re calibrate it. After calibration, the adjustment ring is so sinple to use and gives a reassuring click which each step. Not sure how long the folding handle mechanism will last, but overall build is very solid. The bean/grind cup has a silicone base which is great attention to detail and makes for a non slip, non scratching base. Magnets are strong with a deep lip so theres no risk of the cup falling off during grinding. Would appreciate a quick start guide to recommended grind settings; everything is available online which saves on unnecessary paper waste. I'm using for Aeropress. Initial impressions is that the grinds appear to be quite consistent without too many fines. Grinding for one cup ~15-20g on a medium-fine setting takes very little effort and time. Looking forward to using it for a very long time.

This coffee grinder is a fantastic piece of kit, so well engineered. Easy to operate and gives you numerous grind options so you can find your perfect cup of coffee. Love that the fold away handle means it's easy to store. It comes with a cleaning kit and a sturdy travel case so I can take it away with me when travelling knowing it's well protected. Honestly it's perfect.

Don’t know what to say in this review really. Grinder is first class, I didn’t want cheap & cheerful,i needed something substantial. Also i drink pour over like V60 and i also drink espresso so i needed a grinder that could drink all all levels except Turkish but if im correct there’s no grinders that do turkish properly.i also do a lot of travelling for work so the nice carry case helps although wasn’t a factor in buying it.It’s sturdy, well made and i was attracted to the magnetic cup.On heinsite the magnetic cup is a pain at times,A screw in cup would have been better however i wouldn’t change it now. it’s just making sure you hold it in the right place which isn’t an issue.For all the research i done this is the best or one of the best hand held grinders out there.

Very happy with my purchase. Really like the magnetic grind catcher. A sturdy hand grinder with ability to really fine tune grind setting. Great results so far from espresso to pour over.

Easier to use than I imagined and so easy to dial in.

I have a problem with it. Didn't use it when I received. And I can't unscrew the parts of it at all. It's awfull. And I don't know what to do.
