I was looking for a filter with a waterfall design so we could have the sound and also the effect for the turtle. And for the cost, I was worried how long it would last...but this filter has past its expectations! It works great, just make sure you READ the instructions before you think it's not working correctly. 😉 Very easy to clean, and it keeps the water clean in a 65 gallon tank that's half filled.

Upon getting the first pump in the mail I actually thought that they sent a used&abused pump. The filtration medium was not in a sealed bag which had let its dust just absolutely loose throughout the package.Upon opening the package the entire pump had to be cleaned off and washed as the filtration medium dust covered everything. The pump also came with no instructions but it I very straightforward.After getting the pump to work I mainly used it to empty my turtle tank and boy that was so, sooooooo easy with this pump. The entire thing works great and has good water pressure for gentle flow but it makes emptying a tank effortless.

Since this was on the less pricey side I was skeptical that it would work. Well let me tell you it does an amazing job. Easy to clean and set up. The waterfall option is a great background sound for relaxing ambiance. Only need to fill the tank up with 3 inches of water and it works great!!

Absolutely terrible quality and functionality is very poor. I thought the water fall effect would be really cool but it’s extremely loud and can’t even stand it. The instructions are very confusing. There is nodetail instructions on how to set up the inner components in the the filter. You just have to figure it out or like I did looked at the listing for further information to see pictures of how it looks fully set up. The filter doesn’t filter anything. The water in my turtle tank is almost green like and has created a foam like texture that I have never seen before. In order for me to get my money back I have to send a used filter. I shouldn’t even need to send it back. Now I have to take the time to take it out the tank. Clean it and box it up to send it back and get my money back.

I set this up today and it is louder than all my other small pumps, especially with the water fall arm turned out over the water. I came here to ask if the waterfall water has even been filtered anyway, but I don't see a Q&A section. Based on the photos of how the pump works, that water isn't actually filtered, which is lame... But it's so loud with the waterfall over the water that I guess I'll just have it set over the open-top filter anyway (and actually filter the water). I don't think this is a good design now that I understand it, but it's otherwise easy to set up and it's nice that it doesn't need the water to be deep. We'll see how long it lasts though - maybe I'll be back soon to knock more stars off. Instructions lack anything about how to prep the filter before use (I rinsed it, and tested the function in my sink with about 2" of clean water) so it seems like the company doesn't really know what they are doing when it comes to this type of product.

This is day 4 and this is what my water looks like right now. The filter does have some particles in it but it's like it's not strong enough. I have 1 small turtle. My tank is 10 or 20 gal.

Easy to set up, sturdy, and does the job!
