While a good idea in principle, these didn't work so well for me in practice. The issue is that even with the rubber washers provided, and the screws driven in tight, the buttons can rotate easily. My strap and guitar have parted company a couple of times because the button had rotated to align with the slit in the leather, at which point it can slip through. I can't recommend these.

Elliptical endpins are a great idea, but felt washers would have been better than rubber. They compress weirdly and the rubber that they are made from may effect the finish over time, I would have thought. Stick to felt (even though it is more expensive.)

Why are all end pins not made like this? So many times I've had a strap come loose while playing live. On one occasion I ended up with a chunk taken out of my bass (the only one I had at the time) when I failed to catch it. The elliptical end pin is such a basic adaptation, so much simpler than strap locks. I must admit that from the picture I thought they'd be a little bigger, but having fitted a pair to one of my guitars I can say I'm happy with the result. They're big enough that I don't think the strap is going anywhere, and that's what matters. It's likely I'll upgrade all of my guitars to these in the near future.

Strap locks are a must for preventing your guitar from hitting the floor after slipping off the normal strap button...but, they are a bit bulky and they rattle like hell! These ingenious buttons eliminate both these problems. I've fitted them to both my bass guitars and they work a treat. Fitted correctly, there is no way that your guitar will part company with it's strap when in use.A really brilliant idea that works well.

The shape means your strap won’t fall off.They are small and look decent quality so no issues in screwing them into expensive guitars.

What a simple idea that works with any strap. I took the strap locks off my Warwick bass and put these on instead. Happy.(Only issue - you may have to find a screw that fits better when installing them.)

As an engineer by trade I can reassure you these are a high quality casting and finished. The oval button makes fitting slightly easier, but more secure (ensure the oval is mounted across the strap). Beautiful!
