Stihl0000-881-5501 - Stihl Multifunction Tool

This is a great tool when out in the woods and I need to make quick adjustments to my chainsaw. It is well made and works very well.

Wanted a single tool for use with my chainsaws, this tool allows me to have every tool I need to service my chainsaw in the field one easy to carry package. There are cheaper non Stihl versions available that have similar tools, IMHO the Stihl versions is better made and has better ergonomics due to the sculptured handle design. Pricey but well worth the additional cost.

Heavy duty. Good quality. Makes the job a lot easier.

This product is really good.It's not excellent because it is detectably, but not significantly, "unrobust" (I struggled with just the right word and had to invent one). It's not flimsy nor weak. But, it isn't built like a tank. Typically, all-in-one tools, like my Leatherman, are very rugged and nearly bomb-proof. This tool is not that robust.OK. SO, on to the 4-star rating:This tool offers everything I anticipate needing out in the woods while using my chainsaw. I can remove the cover, access the air filter, change the spark plug, remove the bar and chain, clean the bar slot, and open a few other things. On top of that, it comes with a very good, attractive nylon sheath that is belt mountable.It is made strong enough to get the job done and I expect it will last many, many years with no worries. After all, we're not removing rusted-on lug nuts from a 1965 Chevy pickup that was left in a field for 30 years. We're only working with well-oiled and oft-visited screws and nuts that we remove and replace relatively often.I estimate that we can purchase all the tools needed, separately, for less than this item costs. So, with the premium price we're buying the convenience and organization that it provides. So, its a fair value for the money.It's the perfect size to hold all the tools and to fit properly in the hand, so we can get good purchase. The color and logo top it all off.In the end, I am very glad I made this purchase. I do recommend it to friends for their consideration.

Useful and compact

It's a little awkward but it's nice to have just one tool to use instead of a pile of others.

Perfect. All the tools needed while operating a chainsaw are in one tool with a pouch. Change spark plugs, tighten screws, change or clean the air filter, adjust the chain tension, remove the bar, or complete repairs. Comes with a tool pouch for a belt. If you run a chainsaw this is a must.

It would be nice if the tool "blades" would lock into place. For that I didn't give it 5 stars.
