Libya
I loved this book! The more you read the more you will understand the country and its people. A compelling and moving story of a foreign family in Libya trying to make its living against all odds. A disturbing and very down-to-earth powerful story. Beautifully written, it takes place in Benghazi and its vicinities. Barrani's narration of the details of a man's life thrown there by fate, escaping another war, trying to learn and adjust to the Libyan life, culture and attitudes is extraordinary and poignant. The sort of book that won't leave you. To be read by all of those that would like to understand Libya, its beleives, history and traditions.
