The FM transmitter works very well when set at the recommended 108 frequency
If I could do it, this would be a four and a half score. The FM transmitter works very well when set at the recommended 108 frequency. I've had interference a couple of times, but nothing to want me to throw it out the window.I haven't had chance to use the hands free feature, mainly due to my phone refusing to connect with anything other than media. This is a failure of my phone and not the item, as I also have an S8 work phone that connects quite happily. The reason for my slightly lower score is down to the way the music starts and stops when using the phone satnav. The instructions are piped through the bluetooth connection to the transmitter, which is then read out through the car speakers. All good so far, however when the instructions are read out, the music playing through the USB stick is cut off completely. It then reads out the instruction and a 2-3 second pause before the music starts again. This is fine apart from when you're in a city environment where the instructions come quite frequently. You end up with continuous stop/start of the music and satnav directions, which gets quite annoying after a while. I've decided to not use this feature, but it would be better if the music continued playing, but faded in and out when needed. All in all, for the money it's well worth it. It's small size means it is quite discreet so mine stays in the car all the time. I bought it mainly to play music from a USB stick and for this it works very well.

Small "thingy", that'll help you with the phone in the car, if you don't have native car kit
Got this as part of promotion action for free, well - for honest review.Installation is very easy - plug into cigarette lighter socket, wait for it to start and as soon as it's displaying frequency - you can change it to one, which is not occupied by any radio station. So first tune your radio to a clear frequency. Memorize it. Then turning the small knob clockwise or anticlockwise, tune the device to that frequency. Now turn on Bluetooth in your smartphone, go to settings of it and scan for available devices, ones CHGeek is found (displayed with the name BT_C27A) - connect to it ... and basically that's it. No need to enter any codes, pins etc. It pairs really easy and quickly (with my P20Pro at least). Now to usage and functionality. Usage is easy - changing volume is by turning the knob cw or acw holding it for a bit longer (you'll see volume level displayed by the device). Turning this knob without holding it for longer changes music played in your player or spotify - tune forward or backward. If call comes, music is stopped, device will tell you the number (although it is spoken very slowly) and you can answer the call by short push the knob. And here comes one downfall - sound quality of the call is very low, not volume - quality. So far I don't know if this is by settings of my phone or because the device is causing it to set the quality of the call sound to low - don't know, but I will try to change some settings and then will update this review. That's why 4 stars for sound quality. Music played from any player is quite good quality though, maybe some lack of bass (I'm old so can't hear higher frequency sounds), but this is rather the problem of Bluetooth itself, than the device. All in all - if you don't want to spend like over £60 for more sophisticated device - this one little "thingy" is for you.

Great in every way!
Firstly, I never write reviews for products I purchase through amazon, but when amazon asked if I would like to leave feedback for this product I felt I had too. I have bought many FM transmitters from amazon over the years, the majority of which break or produce terrible sound quality. I was starting to become hesitant about buying anymore but I was willing to give this product a go because the reviews looked good and the build quality seemed very sleek and professional. With prime the delivery came next day and I tried it right away. I have been using this product pretty much everyday for the last year since and I’m still impressed with this little device. It’s size is - to me - one of its great selling points, I dislike long/wide FM transmitters, so having a small device like this taking up as little room as possible is useful. Even though it is small it’s well equipped with all the features one would use whilst driving. As mentioned, it’s build quality is very good, everything feels very firm and positioned well ( I have had devices before which would rattle if they were shaken) which demonstrated poor quality workmanship. It’s sound quality is also above par for its size and price, very nice.As it comes with two USB slots I can very easily (and quickly) charge multiple devices with ease. It’s so fast I can pretty much get away with charging my phone over night and simply charge it on the commute to work. 10/10.Overall the product is amazing, I have bought many of these devices and gave them to friends and family. I personally have a few to myself and put them in each car to avoid having to swap them around, for the price this is super viable. My only criticism is the Bluetooth name; they’re all called the same! If you swap devices you have to entrust you can remember where this perticular device’s name comes up in your list of remembered Bluetooth devices. Usually the device auto connects but if you stall (for example) it may not immediately connect. Simply solved however, just pull the device out and plug it back in again!
