I am told this is the same as isopropyl alcohol, anyway this is a cheaper to buy than isopropyl alcohol. It evaporates quickly and doesn't leave residue. I think it is fine for cleaning cleaning soldering residue from printed circuit boards.

I wanted some isopropyl alcohol for vwiping down the flexible build plate of my 3d printer. This removes any sticky residue quickly and if the build plate is warm, evaporates almost instantly with very little smell.
