I was given an old Home Theater system that does not have an A/B switch to add a second zone. I have the system in my garage and wanted to add a pair of speakers for our deck. This simple switcher was easy to set up using 14-gauge speaker wire. That's the biggest wire likely to work with the spring clips: it's a bit snug, but it works. Here's hoping the on/off switches are durable enough to survive the mixing and mastering of 15 new tunes...

This product worked fine for one year. After one year the left-side output stopped working. Buyer beware. Now it’s a paperweight in my garage.

I bought this to add two more speaker cabs to my single L/R system and it is great. The options are one set of L/R speakers, both sets of speakers and just the second set (L/R of course). Lets you fill your room with sound or isolate it to front set or back set of speakers depending on where you place them. No loss of quality when you go full room sound. Sturdy little box and well constructed. Just what I hoped it would be.

I use this switch to turn second room speakers on or off. It does that without problem. My only complaint is that the speaker wire terminals on the bqack of the switch only accept small gauge wires. I had to trim off about half the strands from the wires connectiong switch to receiver output.
