Works with PS5. No problem installing.The only complaint is that the heatsink isn't preinstalled, and the included manual doesn't explain which heatsink compound to use (use one thick, one thin) nor how to install the heatsink (you have to snap it on).

I firstly just want to say "Thank you" for this manufactured release of your 4TB NVMe SSD Drive. I myself felt thrilled that coupled with the adapter which I had purchased for my Lenovo Legion go to convert to 2280, the Drive performs well, I am not experiencing crashes or head issues with it and I am currently downloading all of my games to it without any issues, I am able to play comfortably all of my games and the performance of the drive is outstanding. I did get the 5000 MB/s version and it's snappy enough. I can imagine for the extra few bucks the 7000 speed would have been well relaxing, but to keep it real, I wanted to make sure that temperatures were good enough to forfeit buying a custom backplate and just chopping at the inside of my back case to alleviate the waiting game for a china product to finish my project install. This drive runs well, runs at an acceptable temperature and for now, is perfect.I took away the heat transfer pad also but eventually I will get it again.Without the heat transfer pad that it came with, it's pretty good nevertheless. I was looking for a large capacity M.2 SSD and the price for the EN705 was too good to pass up. The EN705 isn't going to win any benchmark wars, but unless you have a very specific need, I doubt you are ever going to notice. Compared to any spinning hard drive, or any SATA SSD, a drive like this is going to seem blazingly fast. This drive did not come with a heat sink, so if you are going to use it heavily, you might want to consider adding a heat sink. For my light usage, I have seen no issues so far.

So the install was easy which will depend on your unit. I did like the fact that it did come with a screw in case you needed in and came with a screwdriver. So basically everything you need. Fortunately I didn't need either. Now onto speeds. I didn't not run a speed test but I did replace a NVME Kingston that came with my mini PC. I do not know the read write speed of that unit but this unit blew it away. An install of Horizon forbidden west took a few minutes to install. EDIT: first install got interrupted by windows but reinstall took 6:58 minutes. Compared to smaller size games that took around 7-8 minutes. I did a clone of my old drive and the only issue I ran into was it wouldn't boot on its on but that was the software and not hardware. I only had to do a boot fix with the same software and it boot right up no issues and didn't lose any files or any settings. So I didn't miss a beat at all. So far things have been great and I'm loving it. This has been an upgrade from a 500 mgb drive.

This little one is fast enough to be use as my cache in my TrueNas System

great value, low heat with installed sink, 1400TBW, I saw 800+MB/s in testing.I didn't try a thorough test, I'll post if I do.Excellent price by "lightning deal", they did snatch my business.Cooler than another 2TB-SSD that has a similar heatsink in a similar load, so is it the firmware choice of displayed temperature, or it is actually cooler with a similar load? I would have to test more.

Easy install into the PS5, power the unit on, immediately asks if I'd like to format my new storage device, click yes, takes maybe 30 secs or less...then I set the new storage as default for new games and what not . Super easy and highly recommend if your looking for more storage in you're PS5.. happy gaming...
