Any age-appropriate kid interested in space or space exploration, Will Love It !
This is a very good space building set for almost any kid 4 to 8 years old. However, if that kid has any interest in space or space exploration, THEY WILL LOVE IT! It is so cool and well thought out. It comes in a durable and extremely handy storage box that has a handle so it can be carried like a suitcase. The top of the storage box is detachable, and has holes to accept the provided screws and stage the various provided space vehicles, equipment, robots or astronauts, if desired. A two-sided placard with two different scenes is also provided to mount on the top of the storage box.Opening the box reveals an ample number of space building possibilities. There are enough parts and vehicles to allow at least two children to play together at the same time. There are two boys and one girl astronaut included. I wish they had included an extra girl astronaut, for parity. There is also a robot and a robot-dog included. There is a tiny toy tool box provided for use by the astronauts that will hold their tools and even their folding toy laptop. It’s the little things.A plastic, ratcheting screwdriver with different interchangeable bits for the screws and various connectors is included to build the various vehicles. It’s clicking action made it very satisfying to use. The ratchet action of the screwdriver has a built-in slipping action to prevent over-tightening. I could tighten the screws in most cases with my fingers, but I found the screwdriver was needed to loosen even the hand tightened screws.I love that there are no built-in lights, recorded rocket sounds, space noises, or astronaut talk that are included with so many toys nowadays. This space building set runs on imagination.I am obviously decades away from being in the proper age group for this space building set, but hey,I LOVE IT !

Good set for kids to explore their creativity
It is a good set with a space/astronaut focus. Kids were able to build what they wanted and play. I especially liked the plastic box the components came in, which allowed them to be stored back into it after being used. It might be more than some 3 yo can use, depending on their dexterity.

So much fun!
My 5-year-old grandson is space-obsessed and loves playing with this set. He can put everything together by himself and then tell me what he made using the correct names - I have to look them up to see if he's right. He can play with this for hours! I love that it comes with a storage box for easy cleanup and he can put it back on the shelf for next time.

An exciting kit for 3-5 year olds!
When I opened up this kit it was pretty exciting because there are all of these bags inside with cool things. The case is very sturdy plastic with locks on the side and a handle to carry the whole thing. I really like that you dont have to cram everything in …. There is room to spare which is important so that kids can do the actual putting away of toys.Besides all of the cool things inside, there is a card stock sheet to place on the outside top and though I am not positive, I think it is so you can tighten screws on it to your hearts content. You can also use it as a cool backdrop when the case is on its side.Kids can either follow the picture directions that are included or they can free play and make their own creations. Not everything can be made at once as some use the same parts. But you definitely can make several vehicles at the same time. This is technically easy enough for a 3 year old with help or a 5 year old could easily do this by themselves. I like that there are boy and girl astronauts along with a little robot as well as a robot dog. I think part of the fun in this kit are all of the bagged components inside that make it feel like there are so many things you can do.I know my grandkids are going to love this so much! I would purchase this again in a heartbeat and appreciate that it is well made and that it has picture directions. No batteries needed for this creative play.

So much fun is crammed into this box!
You are given lots of pieces that can fit together with plastic screws. Kids can use the included screw driver to assemble the pieces any way they want to create several small vehicles or massive multilevel ones. The manual includes sample builds at different skill levels to get your child started. In most cases I think kids will want to come up with their own creation.Everything is pretty chunky, stickers well-applied and the plastics feel solid. There are a few small pieces, mainly tools for the characters to hold, so I would stick with the recommended 3 & up age group. The figures arms can move, heads can twist, and helmets are removable. The robot-dog has little wheels, moveable ears, tail and head. You get 3 figures, 1 robot dog, and 1 droid helper in the box, so several kids can share playing with it.Even though there are 3 types of screw driver bits, only 1 handle is included. However I found you can hand tighten most of the screws since they are so large and chunky. It’s also ratcheted so the child can’t over tighten the screw and ruin the plastic. The manual mentions the droid having friction power to move, but my version was just tiny free rolling wheels. I would have liked to see some longer screws instead of them all being the same size to make some more complicated setups. Overall at the $30 price point at the time of this review seems like an amazing value compared to other similar creator building toys. Don’t forget it includes a strong carry case with locking claps to store all the parts when they are done and ready to clean up. Your kids will love this!
