Dirty Dancing [DVD]

I don't think I am being over dramatic to say that this is film most women place in their top 10 favourite films. The fact when the film was realised the production companies attitude was they made a huge mistake and expected it to flop is now hard to imagine, but many of the executives at the time did not realise there was a sub-plot concerning abortion in the story... one thing the American film industry have always been wary off. So when the figures of how many people where actually coming to the box office and sometimes going again was quite a surprise. And even more so when it was actually the highest grossing films of 1987Obviously since then it has exceeded so much more than just being a popular film; Dirty Dancing has had sequels, soundtracks, stage musicals and even dance competitions and is now considered a classic chick-flick.I think the appeal is the fact 'Baby' is all teenage girls struggling with their identity, along with parental expectation and then meeting the 'bad boy'. Many of the audience is also very familiar with the soundtrack having parents playing that music in their childhood homes but also the end did have a happy ending which any woman secretly yearns for that the 'bad boy' turns in to be their 'hero' at the end of the story. It did truly deserve all the adoration, awards and pure affection and turn Patrick Swazye and Jennifer Grey into stars

The dancing, the story and the brilliant acting by all the characters made this film one of the best films of the 20th century in my opinion, hopefully in others opinion too. I have just seen the London cast of Dirty Dancing who are on tour which prompted me to buy the disc, which means now I can watch the film whenever I want to, bliss.

Brilliant film, brilliant soundtrack. Dirty Dancing is one of those feel good films you can watch over and over and never get bored of it. I love that it gains new fans with every generation, my niece adores it and I enjoyed getting to tell her that her mum once dislocated her knee trying to recreate some of those dance moves when we were kids :)

Still love this movie after all these years. Patrick Swayze was a wonderful actor and dancer, I could watch his dancing for ever and never get tired of it! And Jennifer Grey was perfect for the part of Baby, an amazing actress, she played that part so well, exactly how a young girl would act when she's fallen in love with a gorgeous guy. And he falls for her generous and selfless 💓 heart. 😄

This is an amazing movie,I am hard to please but this just works on every level,it even keeps me interested which is quite an achievement

Bought this a few years ago and it went up on the shelf to replace an existing damaged copy, its been a few years but I finally use it for the first time only to find its just as damaged and wont play, seller has my money and ive have another coaster. yay

we only bought another copy because our disabled daughter plays this DVD at least 10 times aweek and the last two wore out great film but don't think i'll be here for remake shame as I know it off by heart.

After the huge disappointment of the stage show, it was a real pleasure to watch the film all over again. Yes, it's corny at times, and the on screen charisma between Patrick and Jennifer doesn't always sizzle as you'd hope (but it never did John and Olivia any harm in 'Grease' either, did it?), but the music is brilliant and it turns into a feel good movie. Highlights are 'Do You Love Me?' and 'I've Had The Time Of My Life', but 'Love Is Strange' is amongst many other memorable moments.

Der Tod von Patrick Swayzee hat diesen Kultfilm vermutlich noch mehr in den Bereich der unvergessenen Filme geschoben und ihm -zumindest bei seinen Fans- einen hohen Status verschafft.Ich persönlich liebe den Film sehr. Ich habe ihn Ende der 80er im Kino gesehen und war hin und weg :)Nicht nur das "Protagonistenpaar" ist sehenswert, die Tanzszenen stimmig wie stimmungsvoll und die Dialoge treffend, nein auch die anderen Darsteller füllen ihre Rollen vollständig aus. Egal ob es sich um den Kellner, die Bettgespielin von Lisa Housemans Schwarm, das alte Ehepaar, den schwarzen Tito oder die Dirty Dancers handelt.Vielleicht zeichnet der Film in manchen Szenen nicht so tiefgreifend, doch das war wohl auch nicht im Sinne des Erfinders und tut dem Gesamtbild keinerlei Abbruch. Es handelt sich ja um einen Film und keine Dokumentation..Viel Freude beim Schauen!

La edicion es una de las mejores que he visto, pero veo que no se han esmerado en su elaboracion final, no han tenido ningun cuidado al poner unos pegostes de cola encima de la portada de carton, que hacen que una edicion tan bien diseñada se estropee con solo abrirla por el detalle en los remates finales, ademas el plastico contenedor de los discos blu ray se despega de la caratula, el audio original de su estreno en cines se agradece por fin, sin embargo no es muy nitido, es mejor que el ultimo doblaje que hace que algunos personajes resulten pateticos.EN DEFINITIVA UNA PELICULA MAGNIFICA QUE BIEN MERECE UNA EDICION ASI, eso si con unos acabados acorde con el precio de Coste.Comprada y verificada!!!

Einfach der Kultfilm schlecht hin. Habe bereits die erste DVD mit der Restaurierten Fassung des Klassikers, welche bereits gut war.Aber diese ist in Sachen, Bild und Ton noch besser. Und das neue Bonusmaterial rundet diese DVD noch ab. Kann diese DVD nur weiter empfehlen.

Me ha parecido un producto muy interesante, y aunque la película ya la tenía, es un complemento ideal el libreto y el formato que la acompaña. Cuenta con un dvd de escenas extras muy original y complemento de la película. Como nota negativa tengo que decir que la carcasa que contenía los dvd venía suelta, se ve que está mal pegada de fábrica y resulta un poco decepcionante tener uno mismo que pegarla con pegamento por defectuosa. Aún así lo recomiendo, me parecen unos contenidos muy originales y de gran calidad.

Reso ad Amazon dopo aver confrontato con versione dvd. Sul video evidenti (ma non mostruosi ) miglioramenti ,considerando i 30 anni ok ma per l'audio non ci siamo proprio. Un probabile mixaggio fallato ne mina la qualità e si fa evidentissimo nel finale (che per me vale il film) . Mandato anche mail alla Eagle. Spero ristampino versione corretta altrimenti mi terrò stretto il dvd. Peccato.... Ps Amazon grande come al solito .

El pack esta regular a mal, regular justoEl formato es de libro no con caratras de plastico, la cartura es de papel y pasa alg muy grabe¡¡¡¡, el pack lleva como una solapa con informacion en la parte trasera para que se pueda ver sin abrir pack, bien esta solapa esta pegada a las portadas con algo como silicona y al quitarla se queda la silicona pegada a la caratura y al ir a quitarla y tirar arranca la portada algo que esta muy mal¡¡¡¡ ya que se podia pooner sin pegar como las ediciones de star wars en metalico que estan puestas pero no pegadas, algo GRABE para una edicin colecionistaY otra cosa en el interior hay coo un librito con fotos algunas de estas fotos estan muy mal hechas con mucho grano en fin algo nunca visto¡¡¡¡¡, eso si lleva incluido un disco d extras y el concieto de dirty dancing pero la presentacion deja mucho que desear¡¡¡¡Fue devuelto a amazon por el problema de arrancar el pegamento de la contraportada la portada

La primera vez que ví Dirty Dancing, tendría 5 años, en un cine de verano de Sevilla, quedé prendada... Obviamente no me quedé con la mitad de la trama, pero recuerdo que no paraba de bailar mambo y Chachachá.No recuerdo exactamente el número de veces que habré visto la película, pero por hacer una estimación, no menos de 50.No sé si algún día me cansaré de verla, pero hasta el momento, disfruto de todas y cada una de sus escenas.Un reparto excepcional, una banda sonora de lujo.Y en formato Blu-ray, aún cobra más vida.Divertida, emotiva y entretenida, Dirty Dancing para mí es más que un clásico del cine.Totalmente recomendable.

I have probably 4 copies of the same movie. VHS, then DVD, then 20th anniversary special edition, now this one. And it's my favourite movie, so I'm always going to buy it when they come out with new and exciting bonus features. The interviews, etc. are a great addition. But I especially love the care that went into the creation of the box surrounding this movie. It looks great and there are so many extras in there for big fans. According to the numbering on the front, they are only making a very limited amount of these so, this is definitely a MUST HAVE for any true DD fan!

Über den Film muss man nicht mehr viel sagen, dürfte jedem bekannt sein. Natürlich volle 5 Sterne. Das Bild und der Ton der Blu-ray sind sauber, könnten jedoch noch besser sein.

Il titolo non ha bisogno di commenti dal punto di vista artistico. Sinceramente mi aspettavo qualcosina in più dal restauro della pellicola, soprattutto per la luminosità generale e le scene scure. Non ci sono però notizie in merito e quindi se è stato fatto tutto quel che si poteva fare. Rimane il fatto che ad oggi di meglio non c'è.

Spedizione rapidissima e puntuale, il prodotto è arrivato integro e ben imballato.Adoro Dirty Dancing perciò consiglio l'acquisto a tutti gli amanti di questo film cult in una edizione rimasterizzata che ho trovato piacevole, così come i contenuti speciali.

la pelicula la que se ve en la portada en completo castellano el sonido y la imagen esta bien un poco mejor que la que ponen en la television.y trata del primer amor de los protagonistas y de perjuicios de clases sociales y mucha banda sonora y mucho baile.esta muy bien a mi me trae recuerdos de cuando la vi. por primera vez

Es ist ein Film,der sein Kultstatus bis heute nicht verloren hat.Da die meisten den Film kennen dürften,werde ich nichts über die Handlung und Schauspieler schreiben.Wir sind heut zutage verwöhnt von HD,3D,4K usw.und dieser Film nicht HD gedreht wurde,hat mich die Bild- und Tonqualität überzeugt.Das Bild ist klar,tut weder pixeln noch rauschen.Der Ton ist stimmig,d.h.der Bass ist satt und die Stimmen klar.25 Jahre !! Da hatte ich noch eine Rosa Brille auf.Bei diesen Film denke ich,das ich sie wieder auf hab.Also viel Spaß beim anschauen.

Cofanetto molto carino e curato, un colore finalmente un po’ diverso dal classico blu del bluray.Questo cofanetto per l’anniversario del film merita veramente, si nota che il film è stato rimasterizzato in alta definizione: le immagini appaiono belle nitide ed i colori non con contrasti folli.Regalo consigliato!
