I had my son, an amateur photographer/videographer, give this a test drive with his camera and laptop equipment. He had requested one that would work with his devices as he was no longer pleased with the card reader he had. He said it works exactly as it should, is fast, and he likes the portability and accessibility. He had no negatives on this card reader.

I bought this XQD/CFExpress card reader to replace my old one which became unreliable lately. It has two separate slots, one for XQD, one for CFE. You can't switch them. It appears to be well made, with a metal housing, and USB-A + USB-C adaptor attached. It works just fine although it does get a little hot. My biggest gripe is that it doesn't have a click to lock the card in when you insert into the slot. So you just have to push the card all the way in.

I've used this for transferring pictures off of my CFexpress cards, and it has worked amazingBlazing fast, just plug it in and it works.If I had to complain, and I will. I do wish that for the price, the cable should be removable. If the cable breaks. I should be able to replace it with one I already have. Or I should be able to use a longer or shorter one.And to go on with the price, this is really expensive, especially for something that I can see similar products being sold for only $20+/-$5It feels nice, but I don't know about $50 nice.

I needed a new card reader for the CF Express memory card in my new camera since it is a size my old camera didn't use and my old card reader did not accept. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the box. It felt like a quality iphone box with a removeable lid. The card reader was secure and safe in transport. I also like this because it can be used in my current computer with a standard USB-A and will work when I upgrade to a new laptop with the newest USB-C. It was very easy to plug in and I was immediately able to transfer my camera files to my PC. I have only had it one day, but was very happy with it and seems sturdy enough to last a long time.

I lost my old card reader and being a photographer, this is something I had to have. There are a lot of cheap options to choose from but in my experience, those do not work as well.This card reader is fast. It can transfer a lot of data in a short time. It has a very stable connection to my iMac and have had no issues with it disconnecting prematurely. The build quality is really nice. It feels like there is some weight to it and it can handle some abuse should I take it into the field. It does not feel plastic and cheap. It works really well. Very happy with this card reader.
