What is the difference between this 230ir and the 160ir?

Can this iron be used without steam or does it automatically start steaming when you hold the handle?

You can disable the steam function by pressing a button above the handle!

Can you clean this iron with Faultless iron cleaner or the like?

Hello Calisson, We aren't familiar with the product, but was able to see the listing for it on Amazon. The pictures of the product does not give any ingredients, so we cannot really advise as to its efficacy or safety on our iron, besides reading the reviews of others about it. It does seem to work for other people, so we would say that it should work the 240IR iron also. Regards,

Does this iron make a beeping sound the whole time its plugged in?

No it does not - I leave mine on all day - so then the green light (or the right hand light) on the front lights up and stops blinking, I press the button right underneath (that indicates steam) and hold it down until it beeps twice. The beeping stops after that and let's me iron all day.
