VERY thick
I think that after I've used this a bit, I will probably add water to the bottle. This is very very thick. I have found it necessary to put a small amount in my hands (much smaller amount than I would normally use), run my hands together to spread it out and liquefy it a bit. They I smear it on my problem areas (where it always snarls) and run in a bit. Then after about a minute, I add a small amount of water to my hair and work it in (like when shampooing). Then wait another minute and use a brush to work it all the way through my hair. Then rinse. The results have been great! If I had a larger bottle on hand, I would add water to thin it by half at least. But this is working for me so I'm ok with it. I just have to not use very much. The first time I did use way too much and the results were not as good.Pleasant smell.

So soft
This conditioner has a slightly funky smell (maybe I just don't like the smell of castor oil) but it's worth it considering just HOW SOFT and HOW SMOOTH it has made my hair. My hair has never felt healthier or shinier. For context, I have wavy, thick hair that gets frizzy. It keeps my hair in check and gives it so much luster. It's a tad on the expensive side but it lasts for quite a while!

Love this!
I have severely processed hair. I've colored it red for at least 15 years and keeping the color nice requires a lot of upkeep and constant coloring. I also blow dry & flat iron it. I have used lots of different brands over the years and I was intrigued by the Maple "flavor". It does have a sweet smell but it's not overly sweet (to me, anyway). I also use the shampoo and the leave-in conditioner of this scent. I love them together. My hair is soft and doesn't feel like straw. I'm pretty happy with this this set.

Conditioned well, not a fan of the smell
Conditioned well, just wasn't a fan of the scent which reminded me of smelling a hot breakfast all day everytime I caught a wiff of my hair

Super soft hair. Love the scent.
New to this brand and we both love it. Silky smooth hair. The scent has been discontinued already which is sad.

Very close to Walmart price! Good product!
I moved to the mountains and the local store sells this brand for 7.50bfor the 12 oz bottle. Walmart sells the 22 oz it online for like 4.92, it was 4 cents more on amazon... can you say sold? My daughter loves the smell, and our hair is so silky. Pair this with some sweet almond oil, and it’s like having celebrity hair.

So disappointed. Doesn't smell like it used to.
The shampoo lathered well and my hair was clean and soft, but the maple scent that used to be so darn appealing is gone. Now it just smells terribly of castor oil. Not something I want to smell like. I suspect this particular fragrance has been discontinued (which is why it's so $$$) and the shampoo is just old enough to have lost its scent. I so regret wasting the premium price I paid for this shampoo. If you're thinking about buying it because you once loved the smell, skip it. You'll be disappointed.
