Decades ago (yes decades) the search started to replace the thermal insulated square potholders I had that had worn out. Not rectangle. Not a mitt. Not rubber/silicone. Not one you slide you hand into. A simple, square potholder that had the thermal insulation that was affordable. I'm sorry, I'm just not going to spend $30 on one potholder. Although I was getting to that point in order to get what I wanted. Finally, while on vacation in Massachusetts, I found these in a shop. Got home and looked the brand up online and bought some more. Don't know why they weren't popping up on my searches before. They are exactly what I was searching for. Easy to handle, and my hand doesn't get burned pulling something out of the oven. I've had them several months and they are holding up well.

Cute, but pretty stiff. The dog image side is pretty and the other side is silvery and seems like it will be easy to wipe any stains off of. We have used them several times to take things out of the oven and they certainly seem to be adequately heat resistant.

It is hard to find pot holders with the silver backing on one side, which definitely help in keeping the heat from your hands or counter tops. These have that backing, and come in many nice colors & designs. They are also the perfect size for taking things out of the oven.

I love these potholders. I am a big flamingo fan. These potholders are not only cute but functional. They add a nice flair to the kitchen.

Very cute. I could personally do without the stiff silver side, because they aren't very flexible but they will be good for setting hot dishes on.

Colorful cover, good thickness. Something nice and bright for the kitchen.

I loved these potholders. The design is clever and pretty and the potholders are easy to hold and protect your hands thoroughly.

They’re not flimsy, which means when grabbing them quickly because you have a big pot in one hand, they fall flat and ready on the counter. They’re really great quality, not a thing I can think of that would be a negative.
