It comes in a cardboard box, it also fits nicely in a 1 gallon Ziploc bag.

Q: Is this filter compatible with Meade LS8 telescope?

Hello Felipe (et al), as promised, I measured the inside and outside diameter of this Celestron Eclipsmart Solar Filter (8" Eclipsmart Solar Filter model #94244). The maximum inside diameter is: 21.5 cm or 8.46 inches if one wanted to fit the filter OVER a telescope tube. The OD measurements (to fit this filter into a telescope - as it is designed to fit into the Celestron) is actually 22.6 cm or 8.9 inches. Of course, it is still adaptable to other sizes by making an expansion or reduction ring from a piece of PVC piping. I hope this will help someone. See photo here: http://imgur.com/ZZMvXYg (updated)
