My new favorite torch for searing steaks after sous vide.

I got this to char food. It sure does the job. When I first turned it on and then upped the flow to the effective amount my dog jumped and my wife said, "YIKES!!"It worked just as I'd hoped it would.

This torch worked great for my sous Vide... Except for the fact the igniter never worked had to light it with a lighter the first time I used it. That is a no go for me will probably return it... To bad as otherwise I liked it...Edit: Messed with it and got the igniter to start working... Hope it keeps working

Yeah, it can start fires no problem, BUT can it TAKE OUT these ANNOYING hover flies who Enjoy hovering RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY TV eyeline? So far it appeared to work! Anyone who has Endured these friggon hover flies, KNOWS of what I speak. They hover, in a spastic circular pattern, in what, I swear is, RIGHT IN FRONT of whatever you want to view, such as a TV, etc. So I sit & wait for them to feel at ease, light the fuel, then point and turn it up all in one movement so they cant evade it like they do the fly swatter. They're disgusting, they carry a plethora of filth that will have negative effects on your, and your family/pets/etc health. AND, they mate in Mid-air as they hover, so let the wargames commence. I'll try to update how this desperate, non poison method is working in the coming days. Wish me luck!

Despite some bad reviews this is working great for me. I’m an avid BBQ and griller and have started using it the day it came. It comes packed in a very good and well padded box and arrived in perfect shape. I immediately screwed a bottle of propane on it and lit it without a problem. When you turn it up it roars. I have used it to start my smoker, burn off the grates on my grill, lit charcoal and put a nice sear on our Christmas prime rib. This morning at -1 out I used to to thaw a water line and anticipate in spring it will work as a weed burner. Only downside is be careful with a tall propane bottle, it can be a little unstable so when you shut it off lay in on its side an a noncombustible surface.

It's functional, but not ntil you light it manually. The adjustment valve for the gas supply won't cut off the gas supply 100%, so gas starts flowing out as soon as the cannister is screwed in. The gas is flowing too fast for the igniter to start the torch, so you have to use another igniter to get started. Because the gas is already flowing at a good clip, the first light up is a pretty large flame flash. Once ignoted it has a nice powerful flame.None of these get very good reviews andif I had tobuy another oneI'dchoose a different one.

Would give it 6 stars. Very handy in my shop and around the homestead. Plus ... fire.. come on now!!!
