Before discovering these traps, my life each autumn was a misery. My house in the country gets invaded each year from late August well into October. Massive hairy spider after spider. If you are an arachnophobe like me it’s utterly unmanageable to have large spiders everywhere, in clothes, under beds, on towels etc. These traps are *life changing*. They are extremely effective and often catch more than one spider. I wonder if a female gets caught whether several males will run into the trap too. It’s not unusual to catch 4 or 5.If you are bothered about them suffering you might want to squash the traps to kill them quickly, but this does waste the trap as you then won’t catch any more, and I don’t believe they are sentient anyway.Great value and easy to assemble, and definitely work - 1000% recommend. The only downside is being horrified in the morning to see what you have caught which would otherwise have been running around your home!!

I brought these before last 'spider season' and was sceptical for a while as they only seemed to catch tiny spiders and other bugs. I was not prepared for finding this monster caught by the catcher and it really was stuck! The stickiness lasts a really long time, I change them over roughly every 6 months as eventually they fill with little bugs and also dust but a pack will last a couple of years so worth the price tag. I'm terrified of spiders and these help me feel worry free in the early autumn months, will buy again!

The four stars are because the traps that are visible keep coming open and are a sticky nightmare to try and put back together and they reopen again each time I manage to get them closed again. I’m not sure if the hidden ones have remained closed I’m too scared to check.They are good value for money though with how many you get.Edit 21/10/24The one by my curtain in the front room pinged open again today.There was three spiders in it phew! I’m soooooo relieved they didn’t come near mebut as I’m terrified of them I was shaking trying to close the trap again but I managed to close it and stick some tape on the trap (why I hadn’t thought of that before I do not know)I would recommend these as they definitely catch spiders but I would recommend putting some tape on the trap to keep them closed at the beginning ( hopefully that’ll do the trick)

I bought these to finish the control of some grain weevil we had. However, our cat likes to catch mice and bring them home, she does not kill them or injure them but plays with them until she is bored and then let them go. I often take them of her as soon as I see here with one and I keep the poor mouse in a box for a day until it has recovered from shock and then release it back in the garden. However, one very small mouse managed to escape from the box as there was a hole the size of a rubber on a pencil, very small. It managed to escape and when searching the room for it I saw that it had become completely stuck on one of these glue traps, it entire side was stuck, all its feet, legs, tail and it died of exhaustion or suffocated from the glue around its nose and mouth, from trying to escape.The glue in these traps were so thick and strong, for such a small mouse, there was no way it could be released, all four legs were engulfed in this thick sticky glue, I was so sad and so furious that I used these traps and will never use such horrible traps again, not even for pest insects. These traps are big enough to catch even medium size rodents and it using outside they could catch a large number of small animals, slow worms, small birds looking for a easy meal, lizards, etc.,Do not buy these traps, use humane methods instead. Glue traps of any sort are banned in the USA and are one of the most cruellest methods for an animal to die. You may buy them for spiders but you have no idea of what else could get stuck on them and I never though anything other than some stray weevil would succumb to these traps. Just search "Glue Traps" on Google images for further reason not to bu these vile traps.Do not use them! I will certainly never buy these gain and will be disposing of what I have left. The small defenceless mouse caught in my trap suffered, A LOT and I will not lose this feeling of guilt.

Great traps, my children are scared of spiders so bought these as some reassurance for them.The are great, caught two large spiders, and it is definitely value for money and easy to use.

Not very effective with silverfish. Works with fruit flies. Doesn’t close properly too.

Ohh what can I say! Firstly I'm afraid of big spiders, baby ones I can cope with but when mummy or daddy spiders make an appearance oh my goodness I just c☆☆p my pants! So upon discovering the granda spider out for a stroll up my curtain with his big flippen legs I near passed out, after getting Mr indoors to dispose of him to another demention I preceded to search Amazon for something to handle this family of invaders, these sticky things seemed like an idea, put your hairy toe on there and you'll not be taking it off!They arrived quickly and as quick as they fell through the letter box I had them on the floor, in corners, under tables, in bedroom, behind doors, I kept mine flat as I thought they wont miss it, so I left them be, just looking at them every 5 mins to see if any appeared but nope they wernt coming out, off to bed we go and next morning guess wot! ...... good guess ... absolutely nothing, I was thinking these things are more clever than we know lol, so disappointed I continued on with life only to come home and find Granda spider and granny spider caught on the sticky traps, I was freaked out but held my own against the building panic attack within me, couldn't believe my luck, the traps done their job, but the only down side is when your cat comes running squealing trough the house with one stuck to its tail and me thinking theres a flipping tarantula attached it well it's not good for your heart or for your cat, so be careful where u place them• a great buy• they do catch spiders and other things• not overly big• I'd recommend
