I swapped my Samsung for this TV
I am primarily a gamer as are the rest of the house so that’s the use case scenario here.I was debating sticking with Samsung and upgrading my Q80T to the 80B roughly ( £400 more than this Tv ) but it had no Dolby vision for a start which wasn’t great as I run both Xbox series X and PS5. Everything about this Tv is fine out of the box but for more eagle eyed people a bit of tweaking is required too get a much better visual experience ( plenty of forums on Reddit and YouTube showing what too do etc ). After tweaking this tv is superb at general content consumption across the board be it built in apps, tv or gaming.Main positivesCheaper than the competitionGood visual experience after tweakingFantastic built in speakers and subwoofer ( best I’ve heard from a tv in a very long time )Feature rich tv with Dolby Vision, Dolby HDR, Dolby Atmos, iMax enchantedRemote comes with a vast amount of shortcuts which I am a huge fan of.NegativesEven at this price point to not have 4x HDMI 2.1 ports is shocking ( it’s also a huge grip with other manufacturers like Samsung, LG and Sony ).EARC in this case is a negative due to it using 1 of 2 HDMI 2.1 ports reducing the amount by 50%TV could have been calibrated better out of the boxIt’s heavy, I don’t mean including the stand or the weight is all in the stand. This is an extraordinary heavy tv which in my opinion is down to the sound set up that’s built in to this tv. It is a worth while trade imo despite pairing this up with the Hisense AX5100G surround sound. Always good to have a nice back up just incaseA personal negative here is the User Interface it just isn’t for me.

Trust your instincts and buy it!
Hisense is very fast becoming the OnePlus of TVs- offering high end specs as good as or better than the 'bigger' brands but undercutting them by several hundreds of £.I cannot go into details about screen bleeding, blooming etc...as I am not a TV expert. However, as an average consumer/Dad here is my review:The following two are the high end features I was looking for on a TV, which the U8H has.-120Hz refresh rate (to play the Xbox Series X). The picture quality of games such as Forza, FIFA is absolutely amazing. It feels so smooth. You need a HDMI 2.1 cable and it has to go in to HDM1 2.1 port 3 or 4 on the TV. You then change the HDMI to enhanced on your TV. The XBOX TV settings will then have a tick on everything including 120HZ. I also changed it to 1440p on the XBOX for a seriously good graphic experience.-IMAX Enhanced. The U8H has a subwoofer at the back. Some Marvel films on Disney+ have an IMAX Enhanced option. These are visually stunning. The picture/sound quality, with the lights off makes you feel like you are in the Cinema. I do not even have a sound bar and the sound is amazing. The US version has Google Android OS. The UK version has VIDAA. I actually do not think it is too bad. You can uninstall apps if the home screen looks busy. I have stopped using a 4K Max Firestick as the remote has buttons for all the apps I use. The VIDAA home screen also has the apps and I have linked Alexa to the TV. There is no lag when switching between apps and this is the first time I am trusting a smart TV over the Firestick. There were two firmware updates before I was able to use the TV. It is slim and sleek. The picture quality is insane. Wildlife documentaries, box sets etc...all look visually stunning. I watch Prime shows in UHD 4K and Netflix in HD. The upscaling the TV does for Netflix in HD is amazing and is so close to 4K. Everyone will have their own preferences for brightness levels, contrast etc..and these are easily adjustable. The TV, for me, was easy to take out by myself and the stand was easy to fit. I only needed a second person when lifting it on to the stand. However, I do recommend two people to unbox it aswell. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this TV. If this had a LG, Samsung or Sony label, it would be at least £1300/1400. Having said that, I have seen some LG TVs at that price point with no Dolby Atmos! Which this TV has by the way. If you are an expert and will nit pick little things, then no TV will ever be perfect. I have not changed any of the default settings except for changing the picture quality to standard over cinema mode etc.. There are several Dolby sound options. All this is subjective and will differ person to person. If you want a TV with high end specs for a good price- buy it! I could not be happier!
