Beyond what I expected
This turned out to be even better than expected. I was a bit nervous because of the reviews on the older models from FingerBallet, but then I found this model and the reviews were much better, so I figured I'd give it a shot. For reference, as a young man I took something like 10 years of piano lessons. I know my way around a piano, playing on everything from standard uprights to cabinet grands to grand pianos. This FingerBallet model is the closest thing to an actual piano I have played. I've owned a few keyboards before, but none of them have come close. So let's go through the details.*Keys - OK, nothing will EVER feel like real piano keys, but this model comes pretty close. Rather than feeling like "buttons" like some keyboards do, this one offers a decent amount of resistance so you can really dial in on inflection, playing notes either softly or with strength. If you have played piano for any length of time you'll easily be able to tell the difference from a real piano, but this resistance certainly makes the experience more authentic and controllable. Therefore, personally, I would offer a 7 or 8 out of 10 on the way the keys feel to me.*Sound - the sound is absolutely beautiful. The speakers are nice and can fill a room with the sound. I don't really mess with the other instrument sounds - I just keep it set on Grand Piano, and it does a great job emulating this sound. I will say that you'll have to adjust your play style a little - the lower octaves can have a tendency to come across a little stronger, but I have found that I have easily adapted. overall, I'm impressed by how much it sounds like I'm playing an actual piano.*Execution - Yes, the keys are very touch responsive and will play loudly when pressed hard, quiet when pressed softly. You're able to generate a great amount of inflection with the keys.*Function - the keyboard is kept simple and streamlined. You won't find 187 different sounds and 579 beats and whatever else - you'll find volume, a few dozen simple sounds, a metronome, and basic things like that. That's exactly what I wanted - not some kind of crazy synthesizer. Just a piano emulator.*Pedal - yes, it has a sustain pedal. While its function adds the beautiful layer to the music that it's supposed to, physically the pedal is nothing impressive. It's a little square that sits on the floor, and while it's got a grip surface on the bottom it can slide around a little. This is the only part that feels cheap. But again, it works, and it adds the correct sustain to the playing.*Portability/Foldability - The folding mechanism is easy to operate. The entire unit fits nicely into the bag and is easily carried.Overall, it has turned out even better than expected. I am 100% satisfied and will continue to practice on it.

A Well-Made Portable Piano
I won't bore you with repetitive info, like what comes with the kit...there are enough videos/reviews on it to know what's included. I will just speak of my personal experience with the piano so far.I expected the worst, and received the best. This 2024 upgraded version of the 88-key Finger Ballet folding portable piano really surprised me with it's good quality. I didn't expect the sound to be very good after reading so many reviews of older versions, but was pleasantly surprised at how close to a real piano the sound created. They must have upgraded the internal speakers a bit. This, or any other portable piano, will never replace a true "hammer-to-string" piano, but it was pleasantly close enough. Some info:***The keys are very taut and have good bounce/sturdiness/stiffness to them.***I had trouble at first with the headphone jack having fuzzy and inconsistent feedback. But after I plugged in my extension cord for headphones (to make the cord longer and out of the way), the slightly thicker plug-in part fit so much better into the AUX port, that the fuzzy feedback sound disappeared completely, creating great clear sound! (The extension cord does NOT come with the piano package - I had one here at home already).***It has a decent weight to it and feels sturdy, and I choose to open and close it while setting it down somewhere soft. I don't want to risk dropping it while trying to fold it in the air. It really is a full 88 key piano, so it is very long.***The Bluetooth-capability is good for someone who wants to begin their journey into learning and/or producing their own unique music pieces with various programs.***Playing with all of the different sounds and using the metronome is handy and fun, too.***The sustain pedal is just okay. It's much like a sewing machine pedal, and it will move and scoot around on carpeting. Just a tiny inconvenience. But the good news on that front is that this portable piano does give you the option to up your pedal game by including a port to plug in a full 3 pedal piece (sold separately). It's all about what your preference is, or how serious you intend to play.Overall, I will enjoy playing on this Finger Ballet piano in my smaller-spaced home. When I move to a bigger home, I will buy a real piano. But I will also take this one with me, too!

Wanted to like this
I figured that although better than a nonweighted keyboard, it was a bit too hard to press the keys, but hopefully would loosen up with playing. However that didn't happen(after a year) Especially up at the pivot points of white keys which makes it doubly hard to play 4key chords that use both black and white keys. Sound is ok, music stand is too flimsy. It holds a good charge. Playing trills or having to play single key quickly is not great. The folding feature is nice. The hardness of the keys makes this one a disappointment.

Great for beginners or travel
I am a beginner just learning to play the keyboard and this is perfect for my needs, though I can also see it being great for more experienced players who need something portable. The keys have a good weight and responsiveness that make them feel more like a real piano than other beginner keyboards, and it is a full sized keyboard so you get the experience of playing in the full range of octaves. It comes with a sustain pedal and headphones. The headphones aren't great quality, and I usually use my own nicer headphones, but it was nice to have them included to keep in the carrying case for times when I might not have my other headphones. This keyboard has tons of options for different tones and rhythms for you to practice with, which has been fun to play around with. The MIDI capability makes it even more versatile. It folds up nicely into the included carrying case so I can tuck it away in a corner in my small apartment when it's not in use. Overall this has everything I could need as a beginner with limited space.
