I was surprised how well these worked. I had a rounded oil drain plug bolt 17mm. I Was fighting for 2 days to get it out, used pipe wrench and everything. Got these extractor and within 5 minutes it came loose. Trick is to use a smaller size and tap it on with a hammer so it bites good. Excellent product saved me from drilling and tapping. Can only give 4 stars cause it came late.

Doing the 1st oil change myself on my 2014 Chrysler Town and Country van after the one the dealership did at purchase was a real challenge. This is what I found. A stripped head on the oil pan drain bolt, with no way to get it out with a socket or channel locks or small pipe wrench, I purchased these bolt extractors and within 5 minutes it was no longer a problem. I did my oil change and replaced the bolt with a new one from the auto parts store. These saved me $140.00 from having the dealer remove it and then do the oil change. I can see this kit already paid for itself with one use and many more ahead on other projects. I definitely recommend these extractors for the do-it-yourselfer or backyard mechanic.

Wish I had these sooner! I had some lag bolts that someone drove too deep into the wood and couldn't get them out. These turned a project that took me 2 hours the first time into a 10 minute project. They are very strong. I didn't strip them out at all. Would definitely buy again just to save wasted time.
