This fit perfectly and had the same heft and quality as the 100 year old latch it was replacing. My only minor complaint was that the screws it came with were pretty wimpy (maybe #4?). But I expected they would be phillips anyway and planned to replace them with slot heads next time I make it to the hardware store. I used the old screws in the old holes for now.

These latches are pretty good. Not great. A bit sloppy, but sturdy and they look good. I suspect that they will last a long time. My closet doors which are latched shut with these latches, close flush and require a bit of a slam to get the latches to close. Adjusting the receiver outward to make an easier closing, allows the door to stick out a bit. [Looks sloppy.]

Top Knobs pieces, like this cabinet latch, truly add a high-end touch to your space. The price point on this latch may be high when compared to some competitors but you will feel the difference as soon as they arrive. These are gorgeous latches that feel more substantial than others. A great high-end touch to your space. The latch isn't installed like traditional knob or pull hardware. Although installation is not challenging you want to be careful to install correctly and hire a handyman if you are uncomfortable with this sort of DIY upgrade to ensure your high-end latch isn't undermined with a crooked installation.

There are cheaper versions available, but this latch set is superior quality. If you’re going to open and close your medicine cabinet every day, you ought to go with a quality product like this me that looks and feels great.

I used this for a medicine cabinet I was making for a client. Actually, this was the second latch I bought. The first was an $8 nickel-plated metal stamping that weighed about a millionth of an ounce. It failed to operate smoothly and looked and felt crummy. It went in the trash. This latch is heavy machined steel with nice chrome plating. I had to drill out the holes a little to get my chrome-plated screws (not furnished) to fit. The first latch would have cheapened the feel of the whole cabinet. But this latch accents the quality of the cabinet. Really nice. The only way to make it better would be to include screws.

I ordered this latch because it says that it would fit my cabinet but this is not true. My husband tried but no go. We had to wait for him to get well before he could try to put it on to the cabinet but will not latch. I would advise that you really fit. They do take returns so no refunds. I just wish this information as I would not have bought them
