I got this for my Halloween fairy costume. I had a lot of fun with it, and so did my grandsons. This wand comes with instructions for "spells", similar to those that come with a Harry Potter wand. The wand itself looks like wood. The light on the end is tiny but bright. It showed up beautifully in the dark. I'm very pleased with this rechargeable wand. It is a great value and would make a wonderful gift.

My niece LOVED this want. I was impressed with how solid and sturdy it felt at the price I paid for it.The only thing that slightly disappointed me was the lack of lighting options. There is only one option "rainbow gradient." You turn it on and that's what you get.I wish, like other multicolored LED products, you could choose individual colors or other patterns.

Bought for 6 year old grandson who wanted a magic wand. It was the only magic wand I found that wasn’t a fairy princess type but this is really geared for a Harry Potter far which he is not. So it really didn’t quite fill the bill but it was a magic wand so he was kind of happy.

My daughter likes this light up wand. She enjoys playing with it and pretends she is a witch.

The positives:The wand has a nice weight to it.It’s sturdy and intricate enough. It actually feels like intention wasn’t put into shaping it for comfortably holding in a human hand.The box it comes in is the same deal, sturdy enough for long term storage Cute enough to excite any Harry Potter fan getting “their first wand”I LOVE the included spell list. That right there triples the engagement opportunity with this item!The Negatives:I purchased this primarily for the multi color “illuminating” function. If I didn’t want that I could have purchased several other wands for the price with superior detail, durability etc.The light… is not great. It’s Vague and dull and projects from a weird angle. It also leaves a very manufactured looking ring against any surface that you face it against which removed me from the “magical” aspect of it.In addition the colors shift rapidly and there is no options for variety with the light. It just does the same thing over and over again once turned on.I’d love to see more options for controlling the light. It really took away from the “this is my wand” aspect for the potter fan experience.The tech exists and has already been perfected in replica light sabers.It’s on the big side. 14 something inches. It makes for a slightly clunk experience especially for children.While the wand at its core is very sturdy, it scratches/ dents without too much effort so be careful in that regard.Honestly I’d look elsewhere. The color changing feature is actually the biggest negative of this product. It feels like a missed opportunity because that was the initial selling point for me. You know, “different spells, different colors”… it’s a whole thing. I’d love to pretend I’m casting more than just lumos! But this wand just isn’t quite the train ticket I was hoping to purchase.
