The "Small Size" was used on 26x12x12 Compact Tractor Tires
While these are described as "Small Size", they were used on the rear tires on a John Deere 455 Compact Diesel Tractor. The actual tire size used on is 26x12x12, which is hardly a "small tire". These worked well on this sized tire. I ordered (2) sets or two "chain tensioners" and used two on each rear tire. Yes, I applied both sets to the exterior side of the wheel only. These fit this sized tire quite well and certainly achieved their goal in taking up the slack in the rubber traction strips I installed. The description talks about using these on "snow blowers" and small tires", but the company must have sizes of "really small, micro sized and tiny" to fit your average walk behind snow blower. The companies description of sizes and their application is poor. I went to the sellers direct website seeking specific details on the size of these and found no useful information. I think they need to provide a picture with measurements of the un-extended and then "stretched out" or extended sizes of their product so it is clearer what these really fit.The design of these is good, the plastic clips seem reasonably strong if used as designed and likely intended. They worked well for securing the Traction Strips on my tractor and they certainly look better than "bungee cords" which I have seen others use.For their price, I feel these are a good purchase and meet the need to snug up the "Rubber chains" I installed. I would order them again, but hopefully won't need to for quite some time if these continue to work as they have thus far.For anyone concerned about maintaining the testosterone level status of your tractor or snow blower, My wife did comment about my tractor having "pretty pink clippy things on the wheels", since the clips are a bright pink color as shown in the product photos. So if you are concerned about having "pink clippy things" on your vehicle on which you plan on using these, be forewarned the clips are a bright pink color, which makes them easy to see. Frankly, I could care less........

Chain tension. ers.
Yeah, these were, like, ummm, really, ya know, difficult to put on.Naw I'm kidding, they are tough to install, could've almost used a 3rd hand. But I'm impressed. They seemed small at first, and the rubber... band?... yeah, rubber band is stout. Not for weak. Have a cup of black coffee, pull yer britches up and use your arse into it, buttercup. We have snow to plow.

Good Value, Durability Unknown So Far
I purchased these chain tensioners to use on a brush cutter with very knobby 18x6.50-8 tires. I bought the chains from from the brush cutter manufacturer, but it quickly became apparent I would need some additional tensioners. I have removed my brush cutter from the unit and replaced it with a grader blade for removing snow from my large driveway during the winter.I have not used these enough to know if they will last. The circular rubber piece appears to be 3/8" diameter neoprene and the overall diameter of the ring is about 6.5" on the outside. The plastic hooks each add 1". It all connected just about right. The big question will be is whether the neoprene ring will hold-up and not stretch out. If it stretches too much, I would need more 1" connectors, so we will see.Figuring out what size you need is a challenge and depends as much on the type of tire as the stated size. The Amazon listing and package says this is for a small tire, but the manufacturer's website now says it is for a medium tire. I think I agree with the medium descriptor more. See the attached pictures for more detail.

If you're buying chains for your outdoor great you need these
I had too many chains go sideways or slide, once you get this on that will not happen.it's abit of work to get on, which is good because it's a good fit. It's very good quality overall satisfied.I gave it a four for install but I guess it could be a five, it's a bit of work to put on.

Works as designed
I use them for my changes on a D130 John Deere lawn tractor with a snow plow. Been using this product for about 5 years. Note: it salt is used on the ice, these will only last about two years due to dry rot. But that is not a reason to not use.

Dry rots quickly
I bought these, "small" sized ones, for small tires on a lawnmower, but they were way too big. There is no decent description on the sizing for these, which is probably a red flag.I ended up using them on some 23x9.5x12 tires, which they were well suited for.Unfortunately they just don't last. Get the steel spring ones for long term use, unless you are worried about scuffing your rims, and don't mind buying replacements often.Even the black tarp bungees made of the same material won't last, especially if you leave them loaded. That's why you see broken ones all along the highway. Maybe if you use these and put them away you will be able to squeeze out a little more time, but steel springs are the way to go IMHO.

Small is not small
Couldn’t find anything about the actual size in the description so I ordered to find out. Tensioners seem like they would work well, however small isn’t small. I bought these for my walk behind snowblower and they are way too big. Rubber ring is almost 5.75 inches in diameter.
