Great Value and Quality
This is a very good neck strap for a fraction of the usual price. At 25$ this has everything I was looking for in a quality neck strap. Other offerings seemed to range from about 20$ for non padded straps, to 40$ for padded with metal hooks, and then well into 100-200$ for gel insert padded straps...+ Metal hook with protector+ Real Leather neck strap+ Neck strap padding+ Heavy duty cordage+ Replaceable componentsOverall this strap is very comfortable to use for even hours on end. It's got thick foam padding sandwiched between two pieces of genuine leather. It's not full grain, but top grain (stamped/polished), so it looks shiny and uniform. It's finished the same on the inside and outside of the band. The hook adjusts to the perfect height for an Alto sax. The adjustment device is easy to operate, and does not slip down while the instrument is pulling on it. The support is some heavy duty nylon cordage, similar to paracord but more dense like heavy duty woven shoe laces. One nice feature is that the neck strap has eyelets, so you can replace the cordage later on down the road if it begins to wear, or is the wrong length for you.The hook is a solid snap hook. Medium size, rather heavy. It's got a small piece of vinyl tubing slipped over the end to protect the brass ring on your instrument. This looks to be similar to aquarium type tubing you can find at your local hardware store, which will be easy to replace over time as it wears. The only issue, is the hook is rather large/heavy and if allowed to relax against the sax, it can bind up on the ring and make a rigid lever, which could damage the instrument, or break the hook if bumped.I ended up replacing the hook with a small stainless steel keychain snap hook. Stripped some jacketing from a cable and slipped it on to protect the sax. Also replaced the cordage with paracord, which just required some simple sewing of the cord end back onto itself. Was able to re-use the metal end covers. Could not be happier. The new hook is the perfect size, is lighter, and does not bang against the instrument. The 555 paracord is a bit thicker, and makes the adjustment mechanism stiffer, but I prefer this. Only took about 10 minutes. Though, you could always change out the hook with a caribener by cutting off the hook, and sliding the caribener on without having to undo the cordage.Attached is a picture of the modification.

High quality genuine leather saxophone strap that removes pressure points!
I will negate another negative review here. The attachment hook does NOT scratch your instrument, since there is a plastic coating on the brass end (look closely at 2nd pic). It is the most comfortable strap I have ever used. I'm a tenor sax player, and the weight is distributed perfectly by the cushioned neck piece. Love the smell of real leather! What a bargain for this quality piece.

NOT REALLY PLEASED! DON'T LIKE THE BRASS CLIP THAT ATTACHES TO THE SAX. CAN CAUSE SCRATCHES ON MY NEW SAX! ADDITIONALLY THE STRAP NEEDS TO HAVE MORE OF AN ADJUSTMENT SO THAT IT FITS A LITTLE LOOSER AROUND YOUR NECK. JUST PURCHASED A JAZZLAB TO REPLACE IT WITH...
