Junk, don't buy. Works for one minute, then iPhone shuts it down with this error message: "This device is not supported by this iPhone." I am equally peeved at this vendor for shipping something that doesn't work, and Apple for requiring their own proprietary adapter to attach a generic 3.5mm headphone jackI should have trusted my B.S. detector a little better, as this item had about 350 5-star reviews, no 4-, 3-, 2-, or 1-star reviews. Obviously they are gaming the review system, and I should have been more skeptical.

I should have read the reviews beforehand. Unfortunately I ordered this adapter only to discover that it didn’t work with my newer iPhone. I conducted the standard performance tests with various components and switched out known functional peripherals with the new adapters with no success. The real adapter provided by apple with their iPhone works just fine. But these closely resembled adapter “lookalikes” are simply NOT recognized by my iPhone. It’s too bad because the nonfunctional copies do appear to be manufactured from good materials and a decent quality.

I bought these to connect my Bose headphones (which only have the traditional audio jack) to my iPhone X. Basically, it will work for 60 seconds, then stops, shows the "This device is no compatible" message, and I have to unplug, and re-plug in the adapter. It super sucked because I didn't test it before a flight, so I was stuck unplugging and plugging it back in for 2.5 hours. Boo.

These are not certified by Apple, and did NOT function with my wife's iPhone 7. She would play music with these connected to her high-end ear buds, and the iPhone would stop playing every five minutes and give the standard "...accessory not supported" message. She would unplug and replug this connector, and the music would play for another five minutes. When I was able to locate and purchase this connector directly from Apple - for only $10 - it solved the "not supported" error, AND...interestingly...THE SOUND QUALITY OF THE APPLE UNIT WAS FAR FAR BETTER than this thing. So...in summary...just buy the Apple unit for only $10. Don't waste your time or money with this one.

My kids both have iPhone 7's and my wife and I have iPhone 8's. This product didn't work with either phone.With the iPhone 7, the phone never recognized that the adapter was in and continued to play music over the phone speaker as opposed to the headphones that were connected to the adapter.With the iPhone 8, they worked for about a minute, and the phone stopped recognizing them and just played over the phone speaker. If I unplugged them and plugged them back into the phone, they'd work again for another minute or so.These are not compatible with iPhones.

I get a warning stating unable to connect not supported. Check the positive reviews. They all talk about what a great charger this is. It isn’t a charger. It’s a 3.5mm headphone adapter without charging capabilities. Positive reviews that talk about its great charging ability are fake reviews

I was looking for a quick option so I could keep adapters handy for multiple headphones I carry.Both adapters had the same result - worked sporadically with some headphones including Apple earbuds, and not at all or with very low volume on others. When the adapters did "work", you would often hear static, crackling, and a low hum feedback in headphones. Finally, the adapter was not recognized as a headphone adapter, but more like an "aux" adapter. "Headphones" volume indicator was not displayed, only the standard "Volume" indicator.Would not recommend. Spend the $9 on the official Apple adapter.
