I’m very impressed with this little gadget. I’d already downloaded the app “car scanner” from the Apple App Store in preparation. I plugged it into the ODB2 socket on my car and started the car. Straight away I saw the units wifi and joined it with my phone. I fired up the app and it worked instantly no real setup required, just had to select the Volvo profile in the app and off it went. I looked in the error logs of my car and saw I had an EGR problem so now don’t have to pay a dealership for a scan. I can’t find a fault with this product. This all worked with my iPhone XS Max on iOS 12.1.2 with my 2014 Volvo XC60

Too complicated dont buy No support when you have a problem

This will not clear all, but is handy to keep in car at all times, you never know when you might need something cleared to get you home, this will usually do the trick

I have had two different BLUETOOTH odb dongle/ scanners before this one. One of which was the same manufacturer/brand as this wifi version (but it was bluetooth). I tried to get the bluetooth to work. I tried on two different phones and an iPad. I have a degree in IT!! All of them failed. It was not me. They just didn't work. Either it was the obd dongle or it was the phones/iPad. Or something was "off" with the protocol. Who cares? Which ever way it did not work. Really long story short?: Get the wifi version (of the vGate / iCar) and not the bluetooth version. Your mileage may differ. Good luck!

This adaptor caused me very big problems on Bimmercode. The unit has VERY slow COM rate (300b/s typ) which may actually be the cause my serious problems. It Reads OBDC OK on both BIMMERCODE and BIMMERLINK but very slow - but then has big problems writing over OBDC. I had very MAJOR issues using this adaptor as it corrupted my BODY ECU and then failed to restore from backup - both issues due to sporadic comms dropouts? Fortunately I could fix with a friends help otherwise this was a £500+ dealer visit!!! I'm not sure if this is a fundamental problem with product design or my particular unit? I will return and retry on a replacement unit.

Used this with Bimmercode to do some coding on a BMW 1 Series (F20) and a BMW i3. Solid connection to phone and hence to car. Does the job it advertises. Advertised on Bimmercode website as recommended and compatible. Don't buy a Chinesium clone which probably won't be compatible

I didn't like it much. There's not a lot you can do with the free version of the app. I ended up using it a couple of times with no results and getting frustrated.

Ich habe lange mit mir gekämpft, ob ich mir diesen OBD2 Reader kaufen soll oder nicht. Schlussendlich habe ich, was diese Bewertung ja schon verrät, mich auch dazu durchwringen können und bereue es nicht. Ich möchte dafür erstmal aber meinen Anwendungszweck und meine Situation kurz beschreiben: Mein eigenes Auto hat wegen seines Alters kein OBD2 Anschluss, somit kann ich dort mit diesem kleinen Gerät nichts anfangen. Jedoch ist es mein Hobby an Fahrzeugen zu schrauben und sie zu fahren. Das hat sich natürlich auch in meinem Freundes, Bekannten und Verwandtenkreis rumgesprochen und bin dort meist der Ansprechpartner, wenn jemand Fragen oder Probleme mit dem Auto hat. Hier kommt dann auch der OBD-Reader zum Einsatz. Für diesen Zweck ist dieser günstige Reader optimal. Man kann schnell und einfach über Apps wie Dashcommand oder OBD Car Doctor vom iPhone alle relevanten Informationen auslesen und diagnostizieren, welche sich auf das Motorsteuergerät beziehen. Mit anderen Steuergeräten sieht es anders aus! So kann ich bei manchen Autos die Airbagfehlercodes löschen, bei anderen wieder nicht. Beachtet das beim Kauf unbedingt! Mir war das im Vorhinein klar und somit ist es kein Problem für mich. Finger weg lassen sollte man aber von der mitgelieferten CD. Diese enthält sehr eigenartige Versionen von ein paar Apps und Handbücher, die man einfach nicht benötigt. Ich vertraue allerdings den Inhalten der CD nicht. Hardwaretechnisch ist das Gerät klein, handlich und wirkt sehr gut verarbeitet, was man bei der eindeutig zu sehr an Apple erinnernden Verpackung nicht vermuten würde. Auch robust scherint es zu sein. Also Fazit: Es handelt sich hier um einen sehr günstigen und dafür auch guten OBD2 Reader mit Wifi, womit man ihn auch wunderbar mit iOS Geräten nutzen kann, jeodch sollte man zu externen Apps greifen, die BIS ZU 10€ kosten, was aber völlig in Ordnung ist. Er ist klein, leicht und wirkt gut verarbeitet. Seriös wirkt zwar alles nicht so, aber man hat ein gutes Produkt, was tut was es soll... Und sind wir mal ehrlich, was erwartet man für das Geld auch mehr?

Il prodotto è utilissimo e funziona anche con sistemi iOS della Apple. Solo il venditore mi ha fatto un pò penare perchè per 2 volte mi ha mandato il prodotto sbagliato, ma grazie anche all'assistenza alla fine mi ha mandato il prodotto corretto e funziona tutto egregiamente. Sia sulla mia Renault Zoe che sulla mia Honda Civic. Il telefono si connette anche all'Alfa di mio padre, però non ho il software per leggere poi i dati dell'Alfa Romeo. Però il collegamento c'è, quindi chi ha voglia di acquistare un app o riesce a trovare l'app compatibile con Alfa Romeo sicuramente funzionerà con sistemi iOS della Apple.
