Solder Seal Wire Connectors 300 Pcs

Was slightly unsure about how well these might work - but they do the job well. thin electric wires to outdoor ornament were sliced by shears and mended simply using these. A myriad of sizes available too. You'll need a decent heat gun to make them seal properly though.

Very impressed with these. Had a few bad ones, but what do you expect for the cost. Could also be a bit of user error. Certainly speed up the job. Seems a very solid fix. Only down side is they can be a bit fiddly. And sometimes you just need more hands 🤣

I bought a box of similar a while back and when these came up I grabbed them as well because they are very good for in line joining of multi-strand cable. The electrical connection when soldered and done properly should be better than any mechanical means because you keep the surface area of the cable intact. To use find the right size for the two cables, push them together so that the solder ring is over both ends and then using a hot air gun heat until the solder melts. The only tricky bit is to not overdo it and over heat the plastic sheath which does shrink down over the join like heat shrink. Try and do it quickly seems to work best. I also make sure I've got additional heat shrink to go over the joint when the soldering is done. That way I know I'm properly insulated. A huge box of sizes that should last a long, long time.

Bought these to repair some solar lights in the garden. Now while I do have a gas powered soldering iron it is so much easier to use these to fix a broken wire. So simple to use just strip the ends of the wires no need to tin them just slip both ends into the tube and heat with a heat gun or in my case the gas powered soldering iron without the tip on ( the flame exits the end of the soldering iron instead and a clip on guard reflects it back on its self). The blob of solder melts and joins the wires and the plastic tube heat shrinks around the wire and makes it a tight joint. Only used the smaller of the sizes so far but I am happy with them.

The top connection (blue, in the photo) shows how poorly the joint can be; the solder hasn't really flowed into the wires at all, and frankly, I'm not surprised. The lower joint (yellow/black) is better because I added a small amount of soldering flux to the joint before crimping it; this enabled the solder to flow much more easily and made a reasonable connection. To be frank, the wires need soldering together BEFORE being crimped and then resoldered whilst heating up with the heat/hot air gun - then the joint is well made but then again a piece of heatshrink would work as well. A great idea if it worked better for users without access to flux and soldering equipment.

I have been soldering for a while but would still call myself an amature, when I found out about these however I grabbed a box and gave it a go. They are significantly easier to work use and all you need is a heat source (heat gun or lighter) and your sorted. I do still use a soldering iron from time to time however as these aren't sutable for every situation but they are very useful when you can use them!

Also, better alternative to using the piercing tailgate/trailer connectors that expose and compromise. 4) Sure connections. Note: U need a hotter heat source, max on the heat gun. We did not try a flame, yet.

Echt gut diese Teile. Habe sie zur Verdrahtung im PKW benötigt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Einfach Kabelenden miteinander verknüpfen, die Hülse darüber und erhitzen. Der Lötzinn wird bei der bestimmten Temperatur flüssig und die Schrumpfschläuche legen sich schön um das Kabel. Sehr gute und schnelle Verbindung.
