The media could not be loaded.  My grandpa made beautiful macrame projects, and I have always wanted to learn. So, I got this book. This book covers all the basics that you will need to know to get started. The book covers the materials and tools you will need. I appreciated the slow step by step breakdown of the must-know knots. This is the foundation of macrame, so having the author really take the time to make sure the reader grasps that was nice. There are also a lot of beautiful projects to make on your own. I liked that the projects range from the expected plant hangers to wearable art, decor, and other functional items. I learned a lot from this book.

If you want to know what the project looks like that you will be making, DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! There are not pictures of the project! I want to know what I'm making BEFORE I make a random piece! There is a QR code you can go to that has some partial pics, but not the whole finished project.

I like the idea 6 books in one. Chapter one telling of macrame'.It's all in black in white. If had better pictures and possibly some in color and of finished item. I'm advanced in macrame' and feel I'll get something from the book. Thank you.

There are hardly any photos in the book. The first 34 pages tell you how cool this book is, and how great it is. The only good thing is that I look up the knots on YouTube and learn them that way. Just do yourself a favor and google macrame knots, then YouTube them.

Instructions are not clear, first project I did I had to take apart 5 or 6 times because the instructions are not at all clear , and spelling errors add to confusion. Example at step 5 it says you will know you did all the steps in step 6 if there are big spaces. WHAT???

I bought this because it was 6 books in 1, I was rather disappointed that you have to scan something to download patterns etc. There are cheaper books with patterns in which would have been better, as I'm not very familiar with technology & I don't have a printer to print off patterns. Hence only 3*s

All points of the macrame explained very clearly. Very nice volume especially suitable for beginners. With simple drawings it follows step by step all the way to reach the final result. I didn't know anything about knots, I've been training for a while and thanks to this book I have achieved enviable results. Simply to recommend.Beautiful and well done! Clear in the explanations and captivating.

I'll be honest ... I expected more. It does have many great reviews so maybe it's just me. Would have liked more detail but it is a lot for the price point. Highly recommended by others :)
