I ordered two sets of these. In all four of them, only one side (the more finished one) fits my 1/4 inch-20 threads properly. I'm not sure what's going on with the other side, but it doesn't match the description and thus doesn't work for me.

I had recently purchased a clamp for mounting to my magic arm. Only to find that both pieces had the screws on both ends. This solved my compatibility issues! Works like a charm!

I got these because I was needing them, they're not gonna change your life, but it is amazing how annoying can be the fact of needing something specific and not having it!... I recomend you to get these exactly for those moments, you never know when you're gonna need these, so better have them in your bag already when that happens.
