Don't even think about buying a cheaper product. This will last a lifetime. It feels great in the hand, it's sturdy and strong, and does its job faultlessly. I've used it on rugs as well as towels (for dog hairs) and it performs exceptionally well. I searched long and hard before purchasing, coming to the conclusion that other cheaper versions would not perform nearly as well and fall apart sooner than later. This is money well spent.

At £29.75 this beater may come across as a bit steep, but it makes up for this with quality.It has a very rigid, robust build and is highly recommended.

Works as it should. Handle is comfy. Good contact area. Seems sturdy. Don't know about durability as only just purchased.Good for knocking dog hair out of "the boys" bedding-lol

Useful for beating rugs and mattresses and curtains

My mother has a very old carpet beater which works really well to beat the dust out of rugs, cushions etc. I had hoped that this one would be up to the same standard as the one mum owns, but sadly it’s just not as sturdy or well made. I have my doubts that it will last as long as hers (it’s over 40 years old). Fingers crossed that I will be proved wrong.

Oooh, the responsibility of being the first to review! I wanted a rug / carpet beater similar to those I remember from my childhood - practical, natural, sturdy, beautifully made and this ticks all the boxes. The length of it suits me, long enough to get a good hit on my dog rugs and carpets. I thought it was a great price and it was here in no time, albeit in an unnecessarily large box with masses of paper (all recyclable) which doesn't detract from my 5 star rating. So, in my humble opinion, go for it!
