My First Science Books Box Set: All About Science for Kids Ages 2-5 (My First Book of)

My little boy likes his father read for him every day.

I bought the solar system book for my grandson who turned two for some his astronomy loving dad could read to him and enjoy. Little did I know he would become addicted to space. He has memorized all g th he facts! He pays with his balls assigng the planted by correct size shape and position. I thought he might like like the ones on ocean and earth as well. And I might as well get the three pack for less and the solar system book can be at granny’s Besides that maybe he will quit insisting the earth is made up of the water and he leaves. Ha hap

We've got one kid in the 2-5 range and one just out of it, and they love the book. I usually read it to them if they aren't just flipping through it to look at the pictures or try to read it themselves. Cover is akin to cardstock like many other books we have; so far it has survived. There are some parts much too advanced for them, more something to be handled in science class than a "My First Science" book, so be prepped to try to explain it to your kids.

Good vocabulary and pictures for little ones.

Nice and beautifully crafted book set with wonderful pictures, no complicated language or vocabulary for kids of 3-5 years. Our boys love this book set. The case makes storing the books easy and neat.

This set of science books (Earth, Planets, and Ocean Animals) is great for engaging little minds and providing lots of information in a fun format. I love the real pictures and balance of facts and fun little tidbits. I think that the information is explained in a way that little brains can easily grasp - for instance saying the length of a giant pacific octopus arm is as long as a giraffe is tall.The books have a really good assortment of knowledge, covering a wide range of topics and providing just enough info about each thing to answer lots of questions without overloading.This set is three paperback books that are of nice quality, the glossy paper is perfect for making the pictures really show the beautiful colors and details. The box the set comes in is a really thick and sturdy material that looks lovely holding them on the bookshelf.

I already had the Earth book so I was excited to see this full box set for my daughter. This is a great little book series that gets into each of the topics by giving some awesome illustrations and explanations. Many without digging too deep into things but providing enough info to pique interest in learning more. Other parts I skip over or try to summarize with my 2 year old as she loves books but none that are too long. I'll be looking out for more in this series. Definitely recommend this as a gift and I would actually say that a tad older, maybe around 4/5 and up would be most appropriate.

The My First Science book trio is a beautiful reference set. Like other books by this publisher, the age range is off. This series is better suited for ages 5-8, and the publisher would benefit from removing their current age level.This series comes with three books: Earth, Planets, and Ocean Animals. Once again, this series reminds me of the type of library reference books I grew up with. The images are visually appealing, with the majority being photographs - no overstimulating layout or tacky cartoon images.
