GODO Excellent External Hard Drive Enclosure with RGB Support
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased the GODO External Hard Drive Enclosure for my 2.5-inch SATA SSD, and I couldn't be more satisfied with its performance and features. The first thing that caught my attention was the tool-free design, making the installation of my SSD a breeze. I didn't have to fumble with screws or complex setup procedures; I simply slid my 2.5-inch SATA SSD into the enclosure, and it securely clicked into place. The enclosure supports both 9.5mm and 7mm drives, providing compatibility with a wide range of SSDs and HDDs.The USB 3.0 connectivity ensured lightning-fast data transfer speeds, and the UASP compatibility further boosted the performance, making file transfers incredibly quick and efficient. This is a big advantage for anyone who regularly moves large files or backups. What sets the GODO External Hard Drive Enclosure apart is its unique RGB support. The customizable RGB lighting adds a stylish and personalized touch to my setup, making it look great on my desk. The included RGB controller allowed me to adjust the lighting to match my mood or the ambiance of my workspace, which is a fun feature that sets it apart from other enclosures.Additionally, the enclosure is spacious enough to support up to 6 TB of storage, so it accommodates my larger drives with ease. It works flawlessly with popular brands like WD, Seagate, Toshiba, and Samsung, giving me peace of mind regarding compatibility.Overall, the GODO External Hard Drive Enclosure has proven to be a fantastic addition to my setup. It combines user-friendly design, high-speed data transfer, RGB customization, and broad compatibility, all at an affordable price point. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and stylish enclosure for their 2.5-inch SATA SSD or HDD. It has exceeded my expectations and I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.

Not a production ready but you can buy it
The media could not be loaded. Breathing holes are fake, need alterations. Fan do nothing, I suggest just remove it.But, you still can buy it because it is cheap. Connection is stable, can work without DC, if you’re using Type C to Type C (not included into the box) and appropriate Type C port. All metal box can go to the trash since ventilation can be better if you completely remove the metal shell and fan.

Defective cable!
Just got the SSD to put in the enclosure yesterday. After installing it inside I formatted it and started loading music files, but part of the way through the 2nd file a message popped up that the drive was no longer recognized. Tried using several USB ports without success. Almost requested a replacement, but I tried a cable from another HDD, and it immediately showed up! The now drive works perfectly. I tried the provided cable attached to another external HD but it wasn't recognized. The cable is defective. It's too much trouble to return the case to the UPS Store (30 mile round trip), so I'll keep the case and live with the disappointment.Updated 4.29.23The SSD enclosure works perfectly. I decided to order another identical 2TB SSD after using the setup for a few days, and it is doing the job properly. I use them both for archiving. I have saved all the songs in my vast music collection on one and I am using the new one for archiving my artwork and photo projects. The company offered to replace the enclosure, but it works so well with the new cable I have decided to keep it.

Not Worth the Money
In a Brief, the 2Bay Raid Enclosure does not support SMART data. Neither Crystal Disk nor HD Sentinel can read the SMART Data from the Disks in the Enclosure. .. So if you want to monitor the health of your disks you can not. (....)The Fan in the Enclosure is rather decorative than really useful. In My Case the SSD got even hotter than in when i used them in a Fanless Yottamaster Alu Case. Not really a functional product to use even privately for 7/24 to store your private Data.

Small yet robust
I like it for it's size and light weight. Adding SSD would make it much lighter, but I preferred to put in normal 2.5" HDD since I use it for data retention. I really loved the option to pick raid option tucked away inside locked by screws, to give the additional sense of security that no one can change the mode accidentally. And love how it goes to sleep when not in use saving both the disks and power utilisation. Best part is that it can run off power from USB port not needing external power source.

Noisy Fan
I purchased this enclosure in the past and was very satisfied. Easy setup and zero noise from fan. I ordered a second and unfortunately the enclosure had a defective fan. The noise was so loud that it sounding like a plane on final approach. A replacemnt was sent and that one also has a similiar issue, QC is definitlley slipping. I guess a 1 oout of 3 is as best as its going to get. Will be sending this one back as well

A Good Value
This Raid enclosure is well designed. But, there are two items of note:1. There are vent holes at each end for the internal fan to move air thru the enclosure. The designers specified that the inside of the two vent ports be covered with a thin foam material to catch dust and debris. But the application team specified a foam material that contains an adhesive backing which blocks the ventilation by preventing air from passing thru the foam.So I suggest one takes the time to remove the foam material and its adhesive backing. I used ethanol to loosen the adhesive and then scraped it off with a plastic spatula.2. Without the external power cable providing power to the enclosure, I found the drive occasionally going offline (disconnecting).I recommend using the external power cable at all times.Aside from those two issues, this Raid enclosure is a real value for the money. It appears to be well designed and built with some care which equates to a quality piece of equipment that will last. For a few $$ I took a couple of old 500GB HDDs and assembled another 1TB of disk space for all those TV show and movies that I have downloaded.
