I was a bit concerned when I bought this light. It was the only one I could afford when I was placing my order. I have had a regular flashlight built identically that I have had for over a decade, and a bic lighter has a brighter light. This, however, is plenty to do the job. I would imagine it just takes a little longer than the more expensive models. So if you are in my boat and need a cheap light to cure solder mask, this will do the trick. I gave it 5 stars because it is worth every penny for what it is.

You're impossible to figure out how to get the batteries in this. You have to unscrew the bottom end and then tilt the thing and this battery holder compartment thing you will slide out. Then you insert batteries into that and put it back in and screw this thing together and turn it on and if it doesn't turn on go back and unscrew the whole thing again and flip it around to the other side and screw the bottom on and then it should work. As far as actually using it to detect pet urine, I found instead that it detects everything really well including dust Etc. So if you have a dark room that you have a hard time cleaning, this really works you can see all the dust and any pieces of paper or anything else that might be on the floor that you wouldn't normally be able to see. I have no idea if there's any pet urine there's so much dust and everything else. I was hoping to detect pet urine but it didn't work because my basement is full of uneven Services dust and basically everything imaginable I guess cuz the whole thing just lights up with this

I had I initially rated this 1 star because my cat peed right in front of me and this light didn't highlight the stain at all, but I have since learned that cat urine is harder to detect on some surfaces and in some conditions. We purchased a more expensive blacklight with 100 bulbs and it didn't do much better, until tonight. We found a urine stain that the expensive light picked up so I grabbed this smaller light and it did just as good of a job highlighting it.

I feel like this will not show the pee stains in the carpet or bathroom. The stains have to be almost unclean to be able to see it with these f)ashlught. I feel like the flashlight doesn't do much.

good low cost black light i use for night fishing lures to charge them up.. no tears if they get lost.. works well.. i recommend

Ordered this to check home after renters moved out. They had a professional vacate clean done. But my own pooches kept sniffing like they were about to pee. So the torch revealed all. Cant believe how effective it was. So ive been able to neutralise the old pee stains with the enzyme urine off spray. I also looked at the walls. Omg stains everywhere. Id insist property manager use this for final inspections if i ever rented out again.
