YZXStudio ZY1270 (Bluetooth Backcover)

Either my unit is DOA, or I'm not understanding the very limited documentation. The instructions say to select upload mode in menu, I've used the menu in firmware 3.3. Only logical choice was "Serial Data Upload", tried various time settings under ASCII, as well as HEX. Then saved back out to main display, I do NOT see the device listed in my Bluetooth menu on both iPad and iPhone. Can't go any further without a Bluetooth connection to device.

If you spent way to much money on the USB meter, you might as well buy this too.. You need a serial port to view the output. I havn't found one that works with iOS yet.. But I have used it on Android with a Bluetooth terminal App.

Very cool if you need to log charge / discharge data to a PC. Very cool if you don't. Ether way, it cool to do it and for the price, why not?

Does not work

There are no working instructions online or easy to use apps out there i can find to see the bluetooth information.

Both YZXStudio ZY1270 and this BT back cover accessory would be amazing products at 5X the price. I received my Bluetooth board today, used a small Philips (P0) screwdriver to install it using the four original screws left over from removing the blank board (admiring the attention to detail in the three spring-loaded pins that automatically connect it to the ZY1270), powered it up holding the switch down and setting the upload interval to 60 seconds (option 9), and then paired it under Windows 10, used Device Manager to see it using COM3 & COM4, then downloaded PuTTY, enabled loading of printable characters to a .CSV file in my Dropbox, and opened a 9600-baud session on COM3. From opening the box to plotting data in Excel was maybe 12 minutes total (it helped that I knew the concepts and had used PuTTY, a free terminal emulator, previously.)You will absolutely need the Serial Port Upload Manual and the ZY1270 manuals, just go to the KAAYEE web site and click on Download. They are very clear and concise. There are some very passionate and talented engineers working there, apparently.

Great add on for USB tester. Get it.
