I like that this is made with a material that freezes pretty quickly and I can put it around my neck without any discomfort from the cold. It gives a nice, radiant chill that feels good. My only criticism is that it lasts about an hour or so, and then it needs to be chilled again. So, it works well, and provides some comfort in the heat; it also feels comfortable on and it's lightweight and not bulky. I just wish that it lasted a little longer. I'm going to throw it into the cooler when I pack for a 4th of July outing, and I'm hoping it will come in handy then.

This ice pack, as you might expect, doesn't stay cold extremely long. It's very thin, not a lot of mass there.What is there is effective though and it's quite comfortable. It's made up of a velvety soft silicone like material that feels pleasant to the touch, and after being frozen, it remains flexible and soft.It can easily fit around your neck with the opening front or back, as well as on your head or over a shoulder or something, it's quite flexible, though I wouldn't want to over stress it.It stays cold for 30-60 minutes depending on the ambient temperature, and while it is quite cold it isn't nearly as cold on contact as standard ice packs.I think that it does its intended job plenty well enough, just that it doesn't last as long as I would like.

I am a healthcare provider that goes into many patient's homes daily. Many of them are elderly and keep their homes warmer than I am comfortable in. Pretty much all of the neck coolers I found require putting them in cold water and tying it around your neck. They're designed more for working outside. I obviously can't use those or the neckline of my shirt would get wet (unprofessional). That is why I chose this product. I had such high hopes that it would work. If it had, I planned to buy a few more.I honestly can't figure out how they received ANY reviews higher than 1 star. I wish 0 stars was an option. I placed it in the freezer. It froze very quickly like they say it does. Wearing it inside of one warm home provided approximately 10 minutes of VERY slight (almost unnoticeable) cooling. I'm not talking 10 minutes outside in 90 degree heat. I'm talking indoors in a home with the a/c on however not low enough for my comfort. IT IS COMPLETELY AND THOROUGHLY USELESS! I can't recommend enough NOT to waste your money on this item.Keep in mind that the item is $11.99. If you have the same experience that I did and choose to return it, you will be required to drive to a UPS store where they will return it to Amazon for 'free'. Gas where I am is right at $4.50/gallon and the nearest UPS store is 13 miles one way from my home. That doesn't account for my time to take it there and back. Who comes out the loser here?This company probably relies on customers not wanting to hassle with returning a $12 item so the company gets to keep your money for their useless product.AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE: While it was difficult to actually call and get a live person on the phone vs their 'chat assistant' that doesn't understand why you're calling (Those are so useless. I wish companies would get rid of them if they aren't connected to a live human being.). Once I got a representative on the phone it took about 10 minutes while he messaged supervisors to obtain permission to refund my money without me having to return the product. It did require a bit of back and forth however they did decide to return my money and not require me to return the item. It will however take 5-7 business days to receive the funds back in my account. Not a worry, it was only $11.99. I asked if they could just put a credit on my Amazon acct. as I'm placing another order this evening. They said no. All in all, happy with Amazon's response to this. NOT at all happy with the company that falsely advertises a product that does NOTHING that they claim it does.

This is one of those products that I never knew I needed, but now that I have one, I will never go without it. I live in the Deep South, and it is HOT. Not only hot, but also humid, which makes the heat feel a thousand times worse. My point is, you’re going to sweat. I love to spend time outside, but it basically becomes unbearable from May - September. This icy neck collar makes all the difference. I like to ride my bike & read in the pool. I have been freezing this collar & then wearing it while exercising and spending time in the pool (above the water), and it truly makes a huge difference in the amount of time I can spend outdoors. It provides light “air conditioning” around my neck and face, making the sun more bearable. I find that I can extend my outdoor time by hours when using this collar.I prefer the collar in frozen mode. To freeze, you simply place it in the freezer, and it freezes up in about 10 minutes. I find that it reminds mostly frozen and cool for about an hour. After that, just stick it in the freezer again for 10 minutes - it’s really that easy to keep yourself cool! I was worried about the rubbery material that encases the gel (?) breaking when I attempted to put it on after freezing, but it stretches to accommodate the width I need to open it up to put it on my neck.In all, a game-changing product!

Preparing for the sweltering days of summer I thought this cooling tube would do the trick. It feels great--fits well, and doesn't feel hefty at all. I wish it came with a towel-like sleeve since I don't like the intense icy feeling, but I know some people who prefer it that way (would have just liked to have the option). It freezes fast but to fit around your neck it has to thaw a little. Overall I prefer this tube to the neck fan I have and will probably be buying more in my future!

Had this neck ice pack in the freezer over night. Less than 10 mins later working on the sun it wasn’t even cool to the touch. Freezing and submerging in ice water got it cold quick but does not stay cold for long at all. Do NOT waste your money on this.

After 30 minutes in my freezer, it came out hard, stiff, and not at all cold on my skin. It wasn't a soft gel before going in and had chunks of hard things in it. It wS also tight on my nexk. This will be going back.

Really disappointed. It stayed cool for maybe 15 mins.
