Prompt service at reasonable prices
Glad this tube (5ar4) was available and at a reasonable price. Some dealers are asking $75.00 or more for tubes today. The Fender amplifier I have is in demand and it should be able to be repaired at a reasonable cost. I purchased filter capacitors for this amplifier also from Tube Depot. They were also reasonably priced. My 1963 amplifier works like new. The orders came promptly without any errors.

Good tube for the money
JJ tubes are reliable and good value. I used this as a replacement rectifier for the NOBSOUND amp. Worked great!

Dynaco rockin' & rollin' again
This rectifier tube got my Dynaco ST-70 up & running again soon after the old one failed, in other words as soon as I could order & receive this tube and plug it in, which was a very short time. What's not to like? It's a necessary tube and it works.

Great Tube For About 8 Hours -Find a Different Product- Poor Quality Rectifier
Sounded great in my Lafayette KT-310... For the EIGHT (8) hours that it lasted. There were some strange, intermittent popping noises when I first fired up the amp. Then they went away. All of a sudden on day two- The fuse blew. OK. I replaced it, turned the amp back on and watched. 10 seconds later, there was a flash of light in the GZ34. Fuse pops again. I took the GZ34 out, replaced the fuse, and powered back up. Power tubes kicked on, 5 minutes, no flashes, no pops, no blown fuse. I put the rectifier back in, took the power tubes out, powered up- Less than 10 seconds, flash of light in the rectifier, fuse blows. If it lasted a week, I'd have given it 2 stars. A month, maybe three stars with some understanding. But this rectifier couldn't even give me 24 hours of service. Very poor. I might have considered it a fluke, but I have read that these are terribly unreliable, so this is obviously a plagued rectifier. The JJ power tubes on the other hand are still kicking on day four.
