I discovered a helpful solution for writing thank-you cards for my wedding. Using stencils, I was able to create neat and personalized notes without worrying about my handwriting. After lightly drawing lines with a pencil using the stencils, I erased them to reveal a beautiful final product. While it took some time, the results were worth it. I have long suffered from being physically incapable of writing in a straight line. My handwriting is fine but crooked. So when I needed to hand address envelopes for an event at work, I figured it was time to invest.Wow. This lets me jump in prep those envelopes in the confidence that my lines aren't going to drift all over the page. These don't QUITE match my envelopes, so I find that I write the return address and then shift the stencil down for the mailing address... And you really have to remember to write in all caps, or else your descenders (p, g, y, q) are going to get squinched on the bottom.But these have given me a new freedom to really celebrate my (admittedly mediocre) penmanship and try my best to make nice, personalized envelopes for my family and friends. Highly recommend if you're straight-line challenged like me.
