My mom is older and frequently has cold hands. I purchased a box for her and tried one pack myself. I noticed them warming up slightly at first. The instructions state they take from 15-30 minutes to reach their highest temperature. I set them down for a few minutes and picked them up. HOLY TOASTINESS! Almost too hot to touch but the heat dissapated to a comfortable level. They felt great on the back of my neck. My mom loves them! So much more efficient than a portable room heater.
