Works great with a little patience.
I love this product, it's not harsh. I applied a thick coat with a 1inch natural bristle paint brush. Then I covered it with a Dollar Tree plastic tablecloth, let it sit for over 24 hours and it came off super easy. Try to eliminate any air bubbles when covering it with plastic.

Easy to use and very easy to remove paint
This is far and away from the 7 other stripping brandsI had a lot of acrylic oil spots from my paintings.I spread the solution all over the kitchen and area. Let it sit for 30 minutes and wiped and scraped this. Waited 20 minutes. Everything was removed with little more than some rags. Aguilar mopped the area and everything was removed with little effortHighly recommend this product

Does not work
Not a strong chemical smell. Kept it wet for 45 minutes but would hardly work. Only took off one layer of paint at a time. Will not purchase again.

Bottle leaked into the protective bag
Would’ve given 5 stars as max strip citrus has proven to work very well.Been using max strip citrus for a big project and ran out. New gallons arrived the next day - super fast! However, one gallon bottle had leaked into the plastic bag as well as the paper inside the box. There was a little less than a gallon in the bottle and it’s as thin as water, even after vigorous shaking. Not the same gel consistency as the other bottles.Since it’s here and I need to finish this project I am using it but not at all hopeful of getting the same quality results as before.Neither of these 2 gallons had the wrapper around the cap like the previous gallons did. Might be the culprit behind the leak, although the 2nd gallon shows no signs of leaking.

Works but...
This works but you need to shake it well then mix it with the citrus strip using 2/3 of the max and 1/3 of the citrus. This mixture cut my time in half.

Read the instructions
I bought this stripper for a project that is still in the works. A very old outdoor painted table made from aluminum. The thick paint is coming up, but it takes time. The bottle says not to let the stripper dry out, so, if I can impart anything useful based on my personal experience with this product it is this: have patience and work in sections. Just concentrate on one area. Paint the stripper on, keep an eye on it that it doesn't dry out, you can tell when the paint starts to wrinkle that it is working. Another thing that I would suggest is to give it a good shake in between the applications. (Shake the bottle before you use it in between your sections). I've used paint strippers in the past that have felt horrible if you accidentally got a spot on your arm & didn't realize it until it was burning a hole in you. I haven't had that experience with this product, and yes, it WORKS!

Whoa!!
I saw some three or four star reviews on this stuff and I can’t even believe somebody wouldn’t give it a five. I used it on an old.Kroehler China hutch that I bought at a secondhand store that had the original white washed varnish and the white paint somebody painted over that with on the piece. This stuff ate through all the layers of that junk on my piece. And I just used a metal scraper scraped it off and then after it dried, I sanded it and I can’t believe it. Of course, it has a smell it’s a chemical. So people that were saying some thing about the smell, believe me, I’ve smelled a lot worse and this doesn’t smell bad at all. Wear a mask if it bothers you I guess.
