I used for the first time today. It was a little difficult to use at first, but with practice I know it will get easier!

These are next to impossible to snap shut, even without trying to put the fabric in the channel. If you are finally able to snap them shut with the fabric, they don't hold. I tried all of the tips left by others, but none of them have worked. Good idea if they were actually user friendly, but they are WAY too frustrating to use. Will probably return them.

Not sure why so many people had issues with this product. It’s wonderful! It’s super easy to use, it has excellent hold, it clips on easily! I love the wide hold that does not pinch or pull your quilt out. These are fantastic!!! These are super easy to use just pay attention to where the fabric goes in. I’ve got an 18 “ gammill vision on a 10’ frame it’s probably better on larger machines and tables.The clips are not hard to get on/ off.I put them on the Velcro clamps I’ve been using and it’s fabulous.Just tighten the backing a bit in the machine to make it easier to get to the clip and loosen when you want to quilt.I love this product, just watch the videos before you use it and you will love it too

Works fairly well. Somewhat difficult to open but I realize they are new and just may need to loosen up. Sometimes hard to fasten to fabric as they will slip off if there isn’t enough fabric grasped

Received these Renae’s Red Snapper side clamps today and successfully clamped them on both sides of my quilt with a little effort. Watching YouTube videos that demonstrated how to clamp these before they arrived, made it easy for me to clamp them properly with no frustration.I like that these side clamps do not interfere with the ruler base when I move my longarm to quilt close to the edge. Using the bungee clamps on the sides to stabilize my quilt, would limit quilting to the edge because clamps would catch on edge of ruler base. When I used twill tape to stabilize my quilt, I’d attach the sides of quilt back with corsage pins, I’d often stick myself when not being careful. Needless to say, I am very happy, no more pin sticks for me. These clamps also hold the backing sturdy with no slippage and the ruler base slides easily slide under these clamps allowing me to quilt to the edge.Thank you Amazon for having these available. I really really like them.

I just received these and tried them right away. There is a piece of cardboard in the side the fabric goes in and I pulled that cardboard our easily and it no way grips the fabric either. They are very hard to open and close and by the time you get them closed the fabric has fallen out. I am very disappointed.

Flimsy and does not hold. Fixed hold issue with 1/4" rope pinned in a fold.

Could use but not easy. Keeps the quilt flat while longarming
